horred, howdie!
How long will you make the alpha/beta phase? I'll be able to kickstart a megainstall in about 2 weeks, or I can make a BG2/ToB-only game if you like.
I'll probably have to do the beta stage as a public release, merely because of the huge scope of this mod. While a mega-install would be a good test, I'm 100% certain it won't work as that stands. BP was broken down into roughly 70 components, with DESIGNATED numbering. It won't even closely match up with a BWP install. Such a mega install would have to be done the old fashioned way, and I'm sure you can remember what a PitA that was.
There wasn't much actual content changing this time, the focus on modernizing the weidu and splitting up the beast into little pieces. As the AI itself had very little change, that's not what I'm looking to test out. The most valuable testing at this time would probably be:
1) Install BG2-ToB and BP Component "Improved [xxxxx]" (Probably the Core as well; now just a fancy DS install w/ BP embellishments)
2) Go in game and battle a few rounds with [xxxxx] and see if they act right
Which would require a bit of familiarity with BP's somewhat-unique approach to enemy AI, as well as the extra madnesses it adds in. As every standalone component can install properly w/o the "generic AI" components, I pretty sure they're each being fed the right scripts etc. But in an update of this scale, there's always room for 101 little errors that can escape immediate notice.
