Hi

Playing the regular (vanilla) BG1 + expansion, my party with good AC -4, -3 tanks get massacred by the bandit archers when we invade their camp... I don't remember them being so tough, hitting almost 100%.

Are they supposed to be so hard (when you don't use ruse to come in)? I would almost think it's a bug happening sometimes in the game where your armour doesn't count or something.

Well, are you wearing just regular or full plate armor, the full plate has a hidden-4 AC on top of the higher AC it already has, which makes it very good against arrows...

Regular, but it's enough against "regular" bandits (those in other areas, including Peldvale).

 

Edit Trying again I think the bandits here are just much tougher than bandits in other areas.

They're strong with a sword too!

 

Edit2: Also in this game I can't get in by ruse, I don't meet the bandit chiefs I should in Peldvale and Larswood.
