From what I understand, strongholds are now a GO!

That's correct, it was confirmed by Brian Fargo on Twitter. :)

Yay! :)  I liked that in PsT the nameless one had a room where he could store stuff he wasn't using, like previous body parts that he'd been attached  :naughty:  to.

Yep, it should be good, especially if it's an airship. :)

Ooooh, wallpaper! (steals wallpaper, uses wallpaper, hugs wallpaper) I'm not a fan of Natalie Whipple's writing, but they've got other guys on the team.

I thought I'd see some actual stories about the game world, but... not now, it seems. Later, maybe?

The game Kickstarters I'm following  don't seem to be giving away a lot of plot information; the updates tend to be more about the development side of things, I think.

Well, they are going to release novellas eventually, just not right now.  There's still a lot to plan for, so novellas and stories are on the "to do" list, but there are a few other things to hammer out first (as in the actually game stuff ;) ).

Well, I am unfamiliar with Natalie's writing but I'm not a huge fan of Pat Rothfuss's if that's any consolation.

Yeah, I know it isn't.

I tried reading him, but I got bored. I should probably try again. My friend read him and liked him, though.

In all honesty, I think all it takes is a good lead writer. I mean, look at Bioware - can Sheryl Chee write? Can Tonia Laird? But they've got David Gaider and Patrick Weeks, so I'm sure that some "meh" stuff will be more than balanced by good stuff.

... By the way, Torment: Tides of Numenera has got at least one good writer, right? Chris Avelonne or someone?

I'm also a bit wary of Rothfuss' writing - it's good on a technical level, but I have issues with how he does characterization (especially that of female characters).  However, I have hope that the writing team as a whole will do a decent job.  And the concept art/setting info we've seen so far is really intriguing.

As far as I understood, Colin McComb is the team's lead writer; Chris Avellone will review all written material and provide feedback to each writer, as well as write a joinable NPC.

Pat Rothfuss will write a joinable NPC—I like his writing style but I hate how his main character in The Kingkiller's Chronicle is such a Mary Sue. I sure hope his NPC for ToN will be more credible than Kvothe.

In addition to what Andrea C. said (Colin McComb, MCA, Pat Rothfuss), they've also got Nathan Long, Monte Cook and George Ziets writing for the game. Pretty high up there for an RPG writing team by my standards.
