This is after patching, I assume? You're probably going to start a new game, unfortunately.

 

I'd suggest restoring the game as well before installing the mod--if you've been hitting "reinstall" on the installer, you've likely ended up with scripting errors.

I too was also towards the end of the game when the patch hit and i lost Isra. Does she check against any variables in BG2 to prove you completed the last game with her or is it just a dialogue choice? I would probably miss one or two banters but i don't want to restart the whole game

Just dialogue choice. =) You should be fine. If you grab the working stringfixer on the previous page of this thread, you should probably be able to get through the end of BG1, though.

Just finished BG1 with Isra, and I enjoyed her very much.  I'm looking forward to playing with her in BG2, perhaps as a lover for my <CHARNAME>. :)

 

One little bug.  I installed the Valerie crossmod content, but Valerie wasn't in my party.  Even so, Isra started up her first banter with her- 'I haven't visited Athkatla in... just under a year now. I would ask for tidings, though our social circles likely do not overlap at all.'  That banter is checking for Isra being in the party, not Valerie, even though Isra starts the banter.

 

As Valerie wasn't there, the banter just immediately exited itself after that first line, but it's still a small bug, I fear.

I installed isra bg2 v 2.1, and started a new game.  It seemed to be working fine until right after I examined the two thugs after they attacked Isra's sister (talked with her Jysstev relatives in between killing them and examining the bodies).  Right after that, all dialog from the rest of the NPCs in the mod went haywire.  All dialog for the two Jysstev relatives and Alia has been replaced by a non-sensicle phrase that is obviously a dialog piece from somewhere else in the  mod, but it makes no sense in the context.  It is now impossible to advance the storyline of the  plot, since I have no idea what my potential responses are referring to, as well as not being able to read the responses they give me for the questions I can ask.  Its all just gibberish.  Also, it has affected my haldamir mod as well, replacing his name with some gibberish about lathander and waking up (no idea what that's about).  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both haldamir and Isra, no change.  Still messed up.  I do not have the BG1 Isra mod installed, because I do not own BG1 (haven't for years and no intention of getting it).  Not sure what the deal is.  Here are the global variable values:

I am having a little trouble myself. I installed the gog.com version of BG1 then I installed tutu then when I try to install Isra it says cannot find dialog.tlk. I attempted to install in BG's directory folder and the tutu folder I created and even in BG2ToB folder but I keep getting the same error

It sounds like you're trying to install it in the wrong place. I'm not sure what a gog.com installation looks like, though, so I can't really tell you exactly where it should be. Do you see a file called dialog.tlk in the same folder you've put the mod files?

Got it. made a rookie mistake since its been awhile since I had to reinstall BG and its mods on a new pc. I forgot to pull the files out of the folder created by the extractor. Thank you for the well polished mod. Isra's content is very well developed.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the avatar morphing script from the G3 Tweakpack seems to mess with Isra's dialogue and journal entries in BGII:EE. I have a new install without the avatar morphing script and it's working beautifully. (Kudos, btw! Looking forward to Isra/Adrian banter.)

Playing Tutu, I have found that the Level1 NPC mod doesn't work with your mod.

 

Perhaps that was intentional.

 

It is something that I can fix with SK, but it would be nice if it were not necessary.

That's something that would have to be addressed on Level1 NPC's end. I could see about getting her incorporated, but I don't know how often they update.

For some reason or another, I can't get the voicing to work for Isra in BG1EE on the Mac OS.

Yeah, there isn't a fully implemented version of the BG1 portion for Macs. Mine died (and I only had BG2EE on it), so I was never able to test anything.

 

I do have a couple files for it on my computer, though. If you toss them inside the "Isra" directory, where all the folders are (audio, creatures, etc.), you should theoretically be able to install the sound. Doing this will overwrite the setup-isra.tp2 file, so you might want to back it up before trying.

Well, while the files didn't work (permissions or something of the sort), they didn't break the mod.

 

I guess I shouldn't try to mess with it if it's working fine, aye? Thanks for the help, though!

Hello,

 

  I have been playing Isra for BG2 and I've hit a bit of a snag.  I received word that Quentin Jyssev was arrested while I was in the middle of the Sarles quest, so when I was finished with that quest, I tried looking everywhere for the next lead. Isra wants me in the government district. I tried everywhere, including talking to all of the people in the Jyssev home. Unfortunately, they won't talk to me because I chased Sarles away.

 

By reading other threads, I noticed that there SHOULD be someone else in the estate other than Mr. and Mrs. Jyssev and their butler, but there is nobody else there.

 

Is there any way that I could either "summon" the other guy or reset things so that I could continue the quest? Or is there something else I should do first to spawn this other guy?  Thanks.

If you set "SarlesPissed" to something that isn't 1, they'll stop being angry about Sarles, and you can check to see if that's what's keeping Qar from talking. I'm not sure that's the problem, though. Have you gone to the Government Building itself yet?

Ah, I got it now. The guy I was looking for wasn't in the estate, but in another area of the government district. It was my own mix-up.  Sorry for the confusion.
