Well not, it won't work... like said in the instructions, you need the original BG1 + TotSC patched to the v(1.3.)5512 or 5521 patch if you intent to use the have the BG1 portion of the game.
I have not hear of Ascension64 mention that he intents to make the BGT-weidu be able to take or give files to or from the other to make the BGTrilogy possible using the BGEE & BG2, even if I have hinted at it to him, so it's not likely.

... and will it ever be :) ?

Well, it depends on how this goes, but as of now, there's not even a good possibility to install any mods without sidehacks to the BGEE, let alone use any of the advanced functions included to the weidu.exe installer, as they need to be included a new, as they depend on the game_is fiction to write to correct variable lengths on the files. So it's way too early to say definitely, but there's the idea of LEEP in the air. The Larger Enhances Edition Project should aim to be alike the Tutu install instructions.

I'd guess you guys should wait for a BG2EE to get out before thinking about the BWPEE ya know ^_^

Not to mention the fact that only a dozen or so mods are actually compatible with BGEE right now (even though they're the essential ones)
Or that the old dino megamods may never even be converted to EE compatibility unless someone takes them up
Or that BGEE is currently in a state of active patching so any mods being made compatible are likely to break when they release an update  (hello messed up strings!)

To put things in perspective, the BWP was conceptualized almost 6 years after BG2:ToB was released... so give it time people :P Lots of time...

Erhm, well that's the time it took to become more or less remotely possible. The Big Picture combination was there before, but I am sure someone wanted to have the BGT go with the Tortured Souls a few days after one of them was released. Well, except the maker nor the Tutu-(BGT-hat)ers. But that's in the past and not that much worth a talk, what's important is the future, and I would say that there's a need to strive for a project like LEEP... after the weidu.exe get's it update that is. And thus make the Tutu obsolete. :tease:
OK, let's give some credit to Tutu too, it brought a lot of info to the community, without which the current BWS would probably not exist. Hmm, I still consider if the Time-machine would solve all this like it did the End of the World -thingy.

Yeah LEEP or BWEEP or BAGEL (Baldur's Awesome Gate Extra Large) will probably happen before 6 years from now yes :P But yeah it would still need lots of BGEE conversions or new mods... which needs time ^_^

... And thus make the Tutu obsolete. :tease:

Wait so it isn't already?

BAGEL

Darn, you took the first pole on that one... ... hmm, Cookie, too few E's.
But there are mods that work without being specific to the game, but they need the weidu update or the crash course unbiffing and then moding and then a Generalized Biffing. Ironic, just a bit yeah .

Wait so it isn't already?

Well, not in the hearths and minds of the Tutu people.
