In my opinion, this is for the better... there's a lot of history in the ME universe that can be brought to live via games... as it's kinda hard to continue a story that ended with a player choice as large as in ME 3... it's also probable that there will be no humans in any major or even minor roles.

We'll be actually seeing another Star Wars/Lord of the Rings(Hobbit) trilogy-continuation, just this time with computer games and not with Movies. But my personal hope is more to the fact of SW:KotOR than of SW episode 1(in time line).

This is a good thing. If they proved one thing with all the extra content they churned out (iOS games, comics, books, etc), it's that there's a lot more going on in the Mass Effect universe than Shepard's story. It's too early to tell, but should be interesting.

It would depend on what kind of game we're talking about here, and whether it has any complexity or not.

Your guess is as good as ours. At this point, and without anything to go on, I'd say mid 2014 is an "earliest" scenario.

That author noted that it could be an MMO...personally I'd rather see a Dragon Age MMO then a Mass Effect one...So here's to hoping its a single player RPG or perhaps something crazy like an RTS heh...(doubtful...but I can always hope!)

After TOR, I don't know if Bioware/EA would be willing to spend the oodles of money for another mediocre MMO.

I'm leaning toward single player RPG with a possibility of "cancelled" if DA3 goes horribly wrong.

I agree with Theacefes, I really don't see them rolling out an MMO, not at this juncture. My answer to the above question would be "neither". If you put it before, you know what's going to happen, if you place it after, you'll have too many issues with what's canon and what's not and what's in players' minds and hearts.

Now, I really want to see prequels, so not just one made from the ME history featuring, the Rachni wars, Krogan Rebellion, Geth War...
Ouh, and so that it won't get forgotten, the new protagonist has a song already. (from ME2 times)

Silly Jarno, you jump to conclusions! Here, simmer down and have a cookie.
That doesn't mean that I don't want a new ME game, just that it should take place some time between ME1 and ME3. That's a nearly 3 year window. The universe is vast, a lot of things can happen in it in the space of 3 years, don't you think? If the books and comics have taught us anything, it's that there are a lot more stories to be told than Shepard's.

Love Miracle of Sound, and that song in particular (you on Escapist, Jarno?). Although I think you mean old protagonist, not new one, mayhap. I think I like this one better, though.
