I think this may be the wrong forum for this question but I dont know which mod this is about. I have met Tyris Flare in Umar Hills and when reading the description about her in the "information list on NPC för BG1 and BG2" it doesnt say that she has any quest, I prefeer using NPC´s that has quests. But when spoken to her she needs help tp find some magic that can bring her back to her own world, aint this some kind of quest and is it able to find this scroll to do so?

If it is, then I will let her join me....have played Callisto and we killed the guys in Umar Hills that had killed her family but I dont know if she has any more quests because she havnt said anything since we killed them.

So my question is: Does Tyris Flare has any quest ?

RIP The Grim Squeaker - ?

I am trying to obtain a copy of Tyris Flare v6.0, as it can no longer be obtained from the Gibberlings 3 site (now dead). - Can anyone help with this, please, because I am attempting to mirror the BiG World Project files and this is one that is no longer available (v3 still available on the G3 mirror and elsewhere, but not v6).

...and on the subject of dead mods (especially now the G3 site has gone for good)...

...what of Touchstone NPC - ?

...and the NMR-Happy_Mod - ?

The Tyris Flare forum, listed above, is also dead.

G3 isn't gone for good, they're just suspended due to problems that their staff is trying to work out. Their backup mirror is here. True, the only known download link for Touchstone appears to be gone, and the only relevant link to NMR-happy I could find is here.

Thanks, but the Happy Patch link is a stub link only, not download link, which is annoying because it appears that it is required for proper functionality of one or both of the following (BiG World Project installer references):

BG1 Rules and Tweaks -> Parting Ways [EN]

BG2 Rules, Tweaks, and Spells -> 1070: Improved Multi-Player Kick-Out Dialogues
-> 3123: NPCs Don't Fight

I think the BG2 Tweak Pack does that function, but I don't know if it works with BWP, which is, frankly, an unholy mess.

The concept behind BWP is, IMO, beautiful but, undeniably, it is proving a challenge to sort some things out and the dependency checking leaves a lot to be desired (the standard, non-customised setups, for example, will remove, or omit, so much content, especially should anything be missing from the downloads, that the end install is basically just BGT and very little all else).

The reason for my Happy Patch question is that my installer keeps warning me about the missing patch even though I have it deselected, so I suspect that one or both of the tweak packs uses it.

Callisto doesn't talk to you and she has these encounters:

Tyris has no quests only romance.

BWP expert install is the GREATEST thing since BG1, BG2 and add-ons came out.

BWP expert install works just fine (this is my 3rd expert install).

IMHO modified BWP install-bat is easier and bug free compared to BWS. You can add non-BWP mods too.

@micbaldur: I have yet to play a game with Tyris Flare, but I believe that the only quest is that of avenging the death of her family ...so once that is done she is just another NPC, albeit one that has romance options with other party members.

Also, by the sound of things, you are installing BWP using the .bat file approach. - This is something I tried at first, until I realised that there was a fontend GUI installer available, which I find much easier to work with (not because I am a computer n00b, - I am quite proficient with both Linux and Windows, - but because the install process is easier to manage via a GUI than via the command line). - I have installed the game several times using the installer, but am struggling to install certain content, but this is not a THIS IS BEGINNING TO PISS ME OFF thing, more of a challenge to identify what's what with everything and put things right where there are errors or discrepancies. Part of this involves writing a guide, and part of it is offering to put together a mirror for the various mods and ensuring that the project remains active, available, and current.

On the TF side of things, I could probably install v3.0 (in fact I could, never mind probably), but have not because there would not be a version 5 or 6 knocking around (if G3 ever resurfaces again) if there wasn't some good reason for the revised versions (bugfixes being the main one).

Thanks, - that is really appreciated, - could I be cheeky, though, and ask if you have the Touchstone (Touch-the-Moon) NPC and NMR Happy Patch mods, too? - I did find the Grim Squeaker here on the forums, but they seem to have been inactive since June 2010.

Well i have played SoA romance part several times and she didn't have quest.

But i haven't played new version with ToB part yet and if this new version has added quest then i was wrong. But so far no quest (i'm at Ust Natha now and romancing her).

Well i have tried BWS previously but as for me with bat-file is easier choose want to install and also add some non-BWP mods.

But everybody can use what they like BWS or bat-file.

If remember correctly Grim had some idea of a quest but i don't know if he has implemented it into mod. If there is a quest i'm going to find it.
