Ok I may be a little confused...I had downloaded the GOG versions of BG1+2 then ran the Big World Setup to install all the mods but when I go to click on either game I get the same look as before. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance

Wrong forum... but anyways... BWP is not BP.

Well, did you go into the BG2 game, started a new game and so forth(use the BGMain.exe in the BGII directory to start the game)... the outside might not look very different until you actually are in the game.
If you did that and got nothing "new", then you installed the game to the Program Files sub-folder... which is what you should not do.

First off sorry about the wrong forum. Second...I clicked on the BGMain there and got the message 'Throne of Baahl Extender' in a popup box and nothing happened

So you did install the BWP correctly.
Erhm, how long did you wait... if the game is has not the Generalized Biffing installed in it, the game will not possibly start in the first 10 minutes... yes, it's ridiculous.
