I have previously played Big World. I purchased a new computer, and I want to install Big World onto it. I cannot find Big World Setup for the latest version. I see you can download all the mods at this stie: http://kerzenburg.ba....eu/bwpmods.php . However, I don't want to download and install 100+ mods by hand. Is there a package that has all the mods for a certain class like standard or recommended?

thanks

Here you can find the latest BWS. It downloads everything except the latest TobEx and Item Rev.

Cool, and do you know if Tob Ex and Item Rev installs correctly?

It installs everything correctly, just be sure to apply latest hotfix for item revisions (Beta 1.13 - Jul 17th 2012) , spell revisions (Hotfix 01 - July 16th) and also extract (and overwrite) the newest version of BiG World Fixpack (11.1.3) and BP-Balancer (v0.33e) after BWS extraction.

Tested with full recommended/tactics hybrid install (without DSotSC) with 0 warnings/errors result.

You might as well start now :P My latest install took about 16 hours (Old computer is old).

Or maybe if you wait a few days, the BWS will be updated to download latest fixpack and BP-Balancer :D

That would be awesome :D . I have to wait a few days (exam preparation), no choice there, so maybe in the meantime I'll be lucky and see a BWS update :P .

I just followed the advice on this thread, and completed a successful install of BWP, Standard version. Thank you for the assistance! Much like Chuglug, I was not keen on trying to hand select 100+ mods. The one question that I still have is that the GUI was shifted from BG2 to BG. I can live with this, but I really grew up on BG2, and prefer that interface. Can someone tell me which mod made the change and if removing that mod would be an easy fix?

I've done a search in my BGII folder for "GUI" hoping to pinpoint the exact mod, and find an uninstaller. Unfortunately, that returns multiple folders (GUI_Mods, and then many for subsequent mods TS, Ro_Terror, TDD, CtB, SOS) some executables (define_GUI, setup-GUI). Is there a simple solution for me to get back to the BG2 interface?

Thanks.

LadeJarl's Tutu GUI mod I guess, it should be one of the last mods installed. Don't know why it's selected by default in BWP Standard selection.

Since it's one of the very last you can try uninstalling it, then run the Setup-GUI.exe and pick one of the megamods GUI (I recommend BGT wielding sword ;D). If Generalized biffing was installed, which I suppose is the case by default with that selection, the result - might - be broken, though I've done it succesfully a few times. Worst case you just reinstall and customize the selection (remove Ladejarl's Tutu GUI, pick BGT Graphical Interface) ^^

@dreamer2007 BWS links are fully updated, even Stone of Askavar latest release (2 days ago) was added when I ran BWS to check standard selection

Awesome, thanks for mentioning that! Starting a new install right now :) .

Edit: Started a recommended installation, but Big World install can't do its job because it can't find BGT. Do you know what's the issue with that?

Copy another setup to Setup-BGT.exe and see if it asks you for your language or bgt-path when you start it but don't actually install it.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

Solved it. I copied another exe, renamed it, the old fashioned way, and it worked. The recommended install is complete, but a few mods didn't install, like dark side of the sword coast. That's odd.

You could have a look at the BiG World Debug.txt for errors.

I did look, and no errors related to Dark side of the sword coast. Its like the install ignored the existence of dsotsc completely. Oh well, not a big loss. Started a new game and I'm having fun without it anyway,
