I used the big world setup that was released on the first of this month, and used "MegaMod Plus" (the one that installs like everything) and I can't use The Darkest Day kits on my new characters. Is there an easy way to add these kits to my game without borking my entire install?

TobEx should let you enable all kits and Level 1 NPCs will let you add them to NPCs if installed after the kits.

It does not install everything but a selection - one a reason for that was the amount of mods that were selected even in a recommended installation.
And the person that provided the selection just left out the TDD kits. That's all.
I'm not sure if installing the mods kits later will give you any trouble. The tweaks that may adjust them will be left out, that's for sure.
