My CD shattered in my hard drive and I can no longer play the game. Is there any cracks that are available specifically for Baldur's Gate Trilogy? I tried one from a website and although it worked, I started at level 7 rather than at level 1. When I used the CD before it broke, I was able to start at level 1.

Use the cracker for tob before you install the BGT-WeiDU MOD.

The site does not allow you to discuss no-cd cracks for legal reasons. But here's the quickie answer: Get Infinitycracker from Gamecopyworld (google it), place it in the BG2 directory, and run it with the --scan option.
At this point, I'm not really doing much Baldur's Gate related. More focused on Skyrim modding and the Born of Legend tabletop roleplaying game. Don't expect much activity here.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the No-CD patcher we all know and love in the megamod forums :D There's a really easy to use and BGT-compatible patcher distributed with the Neverending Journey mod if you're up to downloading the entire 334MB package

The patcher itself is only 26kB but I don't think anyone's gonna attach it here :P

When there's trouble brewing, see me post, cuz it's usually a wall o' yellow and your eyes are toast!!!"

Well, Infinitycracker is the patcher I know and love, and it works on multiple games... ;)

Hmmm...this neverending Journey Mod....does it ruin the game (aka make it easier) in any way? I want it to be pretty hard and I'm worried that downloading more Mods will either not be compatible or ruin the game in some way.

Just extract the NoCD crack for the archive. You don't have to install it.

Or just follow my previous suggestion and get Infinitycracker from GameCopyWorld.

Thx guys...now there is another *small* issue. I'm used to playing Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 with the dialogue appearing on the screen when I click on each of the party member's portraits. I checked the Feedback button to see if everything was on and it was. Also I used Khalid's portrait from my chracter and it is now using another portrait (which is fine). But when I click on his character information, his portrait is small instead of large like the other chracter's information portraits are. I normally would try to figure this all out myself but from my understanding the BGT mod is prone to corruptions and I know I have to be very careful with what I alter.

And also there is no text when I right click on any characters....I can only hear their voices.

Options > gameplay > feedback > selection text

Most likely your crack that messed up your game. Even more if you have installed mods that patch the .exe I guess

A long long *long* time ago I wrote a WeiDU script that removed a few bugs from Baldur's Gate, turning your computer into a laundry machine was one of them. For obvious reasons I can not make it available on these awesome forums, but perhaps it is possible to send me a personal message and I can provide you with a download link (It's been available for years on my own webspace, but not many can find their way to it).

It's a more or less completely safe and secure WeiDU script, it also won't proceed if you do not run the appropriate version etc. - it can also fix a few other bugs for you, but most of those are also included in Ascension's .dll inserting patch, and he did a much better job with those in the end.

Also, Baldur's Gate is cheaply available as a digital download from gog.com, should you care to upgrade away from these old CD's altogether in a better way. Obviously this version also does not require you to have a CD in place (in turn this also might mean we can legitimately help you with this issue).
