Why not updating planar sphere mod one more time, with the new fixe incorporated, and the fixe from the borkpack as well?

That's an easy one as it just requires adding the BWFixpack stuff and repackage as v26f or something . Well made mod already with the community fixes, I think there's still an issue with the spawning of Belle but haven't really looked into it and I moved since the main quest was over. Maybe rework the innate spell you gain when completing the main part also, haven't used it much but it looked weird IIRC.

And by the way, could you comment or remove those lines, which are no more necessary with the new weidu, and cause a lot of mess if the override folder is big

Sure, Trimpack stuff. If no one does it before, I'll have a take on PlanarSphere if it's still unsupported after I'm done with the Vault. TBH I'm more interested in overhauling/fixing CtB but that requires waiting for Hoppy's return~

Some notes about BWPFixpack v11.1.3 linked here

- BG1NPCSoA: The 7xXan.D.patch seems to be made for v3 (from the SHS download manager) while the latest version of the mod is v5
- PlanarSphereMod: The base still seems to be v26c (latest being v26e) - although this was probably reported too late earlier
- G3Anniversary: can be deprecated because of mod update
- Horace: can be deprecated because of mod update

Because as the last maintainer of CtB he would know a lot more about it and it's quite a huge task to undertake without guidance from someone who has worked on it? I have only scratched the surface on my side but I like the ideas, tis' why I'd like it to be updated and not fall in abandon.

If you'll take care of PlanarSphere, please note that there is a .baf in .tra directory: I guess it's not its place. If you could also check the traify, because it could be a translation we'll take care in the future (it's not in project at the moment).

Understood. And admirable.

But if we all followed that philosophy, most mods maintained on this site would have never been touched. Unfortunately, there have been many instances where maintainers walk away with their fixes, so their efforts have to be re-created. It's an annoyance we all have to deal with, I afraid, when we love maintaining mods.

So don't be discouraged; go nuts--go ahead and (re)kickstart the CtB maintenance.

In fact, your activism might encourage Hoppy to join in the fun. It certainly will get others to assist.
I'll join in, although my participation will be nearly nil initially, until I can get back into playing.

(And miracles do happen--even CBisson might show up! I'm sure both occasionally view the progress on the mod and the boards in-general.)

If you do feel so encouraged, please start a new thread in the CtB forum. Clean start, and so on.

About the little tiny text I've tried to send a PM to CBisson a few months ago (in vain), and his lact activity dates from 2004 IIRC He might be checking forums without logging in though. Hoppy I've heard some news about from an informant who wishes to remain anonymous (or he could be posting here like just above your post) and he - might - return some time this year (I hope).

Yay for BWPFixpack v11.1.4 released here Some notes:

- The ".7z" extension of the archive needed to be added after downloading the package... never had to before
- The BWPLinkliste still links to OLD versions of the BWPFixpack and Installpack

Now the actual fixes themselves:
- BG1NPCSoA: 7xXan.D patch suddenly vanished
- BPv180: Setup-BPv180.tp2.patch needs an ending "~" in line 8
- planarspheremod: needs an updated VERSION tag to show BWP modding
- Star: Star.tp2.patch needs an updated VERSION tag and remade for v1.93 (all other patches are still valid)
- TyrisFlare: The interjection.d patch is still needed but needs to be remade

If you mean whether that patch is necessary, I would think yes It seems to fix this kinda serious bug with Xan going hostile in that fight (kinda sucks if you intend to depend solely on Xan as your party's mage dude )

The non-traified string because it's extra fluff to prevent that bug Besides... the mod seems to only contain english tras for the moment

The mod's version might be up for an update soon though - seeing that it's got a new forum and shiny new things

Awesome that BG modding continues--thanks for all the hard work, guys! It has been years since I played BG, but I decided to reinstall, and you seem to have made it easier than ever to get mods to play nicely. About the BWPFixpack v11.1.6, I noticed some new fixes for TSoA were added (one of those files is exactly the same from the original mod even - and they're dated older than the files from the mod)
