Details: I've just prepared beta version of Petsy Chattertone and I decided to create official beta to test it. So, all you've got to do is... well, download the mod and have fun. If you have some problems, just leave the report here. When it seems that everything works fine - (more than less ) - I will put the mod somewhere... We'll see where it's gonna be For now, that's the only available place, because I don't want to do a normal release until I am sure it actually works

INTRODUCTION:

"When asked about her past, PETSY CHATTERTONE is more than willing to talk. Usually, it’s not even about herself: the weather, food, how her hair frizzes in humidity... She talks so much that it's difficult to know what she’s actually talking about. Still, you do gather that she has parents and a brother in her hometown, Gullykin, although she has neglected to tell you why she left there at all. She travelled the Sword Coast and in Amn, her final destination. Her presence in the city isn't a coincidence and you can only presume that it has something to do with the journal she carries with her. It seems more precious to her than any treasure.

So far as you can tell, she is well-intentioned, even if a little chatter-prone. Her fighting skills are adequate enough, but she’s sure to know a trick or two to help you on your journey."

Petsy Chattertone is a romanceable halfling bard. She's young, playful, talkative and silly. She's not very strong, but hopefully she'll be able to make you smile.
Mod includes both SoA and ToB content, though the ToB content isn't very extensive at this point. Still, yes - you will be able to talk to her in both SoA and ToB. In her SoA portion, every player will experience some talks and a quest. Male gnomes, dwarves and halflings can romance her. Those are the only requirements.

You can find her in the Sea's Bounty tavern.



INSTALLATION:

As every WeiDU mod. Unpack the zip, paste the content to you main BG2 folder. Use Setup-Petsy.exe and follow the instrucions in WeiDU window.

Does anyone have any problem with the mod? There were some downloads but no reports - I'm not sure if that's a bad thing, or not No people who are trying out the mod, or no bugs...? Huh...

You might need to provide a little more information than that, otherwise Lava won't be able to fix the problem.

he did so - via email - but I don't have a clue what is the issue. It may have to do something with the fact that Eric has got a Mac. I am unable to help with modding on Mac. I think other people were able to install the mod.

The error has to do with the back-up process. I don't know where or how during installation the installer attempts to create the folder "backup_BGII - SoA", as I saw no such code in the .tp2 (maybe weidu-mac automatically does this?), but I suspect there's a syntax issue. I see that the extracted mod does not include a folder named backup_BGII - SoA, but it does include the usual folder named backup, and that folder contains a file "L3Ico.ico". No other mod gives me this error when I install it.

Would someone with more technical knowledge on the Mac OS X side please help with this? If not, the mod will not install, and I can't continue installing anything more until this issue is solved.

I assume you made the setup.petsy-command properly?

There's no such file in the mod's main folder. There wasn't a petsy.tp2-mac file, either, so I just now created one, but I don't recall how to create the .command file, and I don't believe it's necessary.

Oh, and of course the .bat file wouldn't be processed, because Macs do .sh files instead.

Did you get it to work without a command file? I've never made separate tp.2's, but I can't install without the command file. Just take what I posted above and save it as "setup-petsy.command" and it should work.

I haven't tried again since the first time, when I got the error message. I'll create the .command file and place it where it belongs, and see what happens when I try installing.

Installation was successful after creating the .command file. Old dog learns old trick, and wipes egg off his face Thanks, Rhaella!

I never think of the .command file, since I never actively do anything with it when installing a mod.

Well made an offical account to update:

I'm on Petsy's brother quest and he won't appear.
I checked on-line at the other people who seemed to have a problem, and:
It doesn't appear to be my save.
Typing in the variable to set it to five doesn't work for me.
What do I do?
