I wonder if they could get a decent budget with Kickstarter.  There's certainly been no mandate given by gamers that they even want a BG3, much less this crew to do it.  If you can't solidly rally what should be an automatic fan base, it's probably better to find something else to do.

I have to agree with that.

CD, DVD, whatever. I want a DVD, downloading 1,4 GB is not possible. Even 100 MB is an issue on my end.
Well that's for you... for me the SW-ToR was a bit of a shock at first, it's installer is nice ~34MB, but it's final install size is 21GB's ... it downloads 10GB movie file at one point and 7GB's or so sized engine file among other things... so the 100MB's just a problem, for you.

We'll need to see what comes out of the BGII to actually comment about this lot at this point ... and of the Project Eternity. Yes, it has a big place to dictate things on this scene.

I want to believe there is a market for party based isometric rpg. And i guess, it never hurts to have two.

I'll blame the modders; how about that. In exchange for whoring yourselves out, now you get credit for this disaster of a release.

That's an outrageous lie.

Since I didn't get paid I'll have you know I'm a slut, not a whore.

While I was but a slut at the time, I've moved up to whoring:
Just telling you, i work with the BGEE developers, as staff.
In the interests of full disclosure, I've also joined the ranks of paid shills. Apparently they think I have some experience fixing bugs.

I thought you were better known for breaking interfaces.

It seems that Beamdog/Overhaul recognize talented individuals.  I hope they are paying you what you're worth.

It's good to hear it, but they really should've done that from the get go.

P.S. is it just me or the quote function seems to be malfunctioning?

Can you make a post showing what's going wrong? Could be a CSS issue.

Obviously not, since it's a positive figure. :)

Well, it kinda works, provided one doesn't "touch" anything, but it isn't how it worked before. For example, h

ere's how your post looks quoted in the reply window:

PMft7.png

That is, nothing to identify the person who posted, time, relevant post, etc. like it showed before.

And this is how the actual quote ends up in the preview (and final post)

Can you make a post showing what's going wrong? Could be a CSS issue.

So it works, only not like it should?

It actually works, you just have to tab the BBCode mode on and off to see the quote code as it's an internal function of the feature...
Sorry for the off topic -ness.

Weird, I don't recall ever fiddling with it.

Still, that was it. Thanks. :)

Probably not because people who can't download 2 GBs of data in tyool 2013 have bigger things to worry about, such as food, airstrikes, and malaria medicine.

Also BGEE is finally on Steam which means I could actually buy it now if it wasn't still terrible.

A lot of people (not here, nec) are acting like Beamdog said they'd never release on Steam.

BG:EE will be available through the Beamdog client, and also independently of the Beamdog client. Regarding its availability on Steam, the game is temporarily exclusive to Beamdog.

As useless (for PC) as I think BGEE is, Beamdog was wisely cagey about many issues.  I'm not sure why so many are ignoring that word "temporarily".

One of you "insiders" needs to start an anonymous blog.  I get the feeling Beamdog would've loved another 6 months before release.

I live in Poland, which means I have to worry about no thing described, yet I can't download 2 GB of data...

I live in Kenya "temporarily", ahem, and I can download 2 GBs and more, but I do have bigger things than food, airstrikes, and malaria medicine to worry about.

No, a local wireless network, which is notoriously unreliable and loves to go down at most inopportune times...
