Nice work, the scrolling experience is much smoother with Firefox 9.0.1. Now if I just could convince Firefox that it's a good idea to save my login details in a way that they actually show up in the new sign in form...

And long live the favicon! Is it of a revised design? Inquiring minds need to know!

The login thing is a bit unfortunate for users who don't use password autofilling on keypress, as you can see.

As for the favicon, haven't decided yet—if I can't find the old one, I'll have to make a new one and it may look a bit different from the previous.

Scrolling should be significantly smoother now (shift+F5 or cmd+shift+R to make sure you get the latest version of the stylesheet files). For those who have the Segoe UI font installed (Windows Vista/7/8—XP users can and definitely should get the font due to its widespread usage, the easiest way is probably by installing Windows Live Essentials) should have much more readable text now.

Tons of small tweaks have been made and more changes are incoming, including the glorious restoration of the favicon. :)

Err, actually, to refresh the cache, it's Ctrl + F5 :o
Works great now, thanks !

Right you are, I haven't used Windows in over 5 months, except for gaming.

Also, I did modified the CSS again a bit, to further improve scrolling speeds, might need ctrl+F5/cmd+shift+R to have it properly refresh, try it on the board index page.

You're welcome to redesign it, but in the meantime, here is the old one:

"Ok, I've just about had my FILL of riddle asking, quest assigning, insult throwing, pun hurling, hostage taking, iron mongering, smart-arsed fools, freaks, and felons that continually test my will, mettle, strength, intelligence, and most of all, patience! If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty damn quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine hells themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!"

I get "You have no gateway email setup. Please set this up in the Manage Payment Gateway area." when I try to make a donation to SHS. Something broken or am I missing something? The donation I made on or a little before november 5th last year was never listed by the way.

Anyone else experiencing very sluggish scrolling? I didn't experience this prior to the downtime.

Windows XP
Firefox 3.6.25

It's 2012, who uses XP anymore? :P

{I knew somebody was gonna say that.}
I do!

Apparently still has a third of 'market share'. And the best version of FF for it is 3.6.x.

Try Pale Moon, an optimized build for XP.

Many big companies use XP because it works fine with their networks and their other software, such as Photoshop 7 -- still about the best version of PS that Adobe released. Many Win 7 users have to run older software in XP mode.
For home users it's not just about the cost of Win 7 alone, it's that it's too big to run on older PCs that work perfectly with XP. At this moment I'm using an Acer laptop that came with XP but now has Win 7. The OS takes about half the total RAM, which can't be increased in this lovely but dinky notebook.

Scrolling in Chrome should be a lot better now and the background image is still there, so there's that.

Thanks, khayman, my good fellow. The site sings in Chrome now.

Ack, that's annoying. I'll just use the regular login form when I don't feel like typing.

Photoshop 7 -- still about the best version of PS that Adobe released

As a designer and developer of many things digitally related, I must strongly disagree.

In any case (and I know this is OT, apologies in advance), I believe MS has promised support for XP until 2014.

Out of curiosity, were you guys going to style the pagination at the bottom of the topics (they are bright green currently - which clashes a bit with the rest of the scheme)?

OT, but I agree with theacefes here. I'm using PS CS4 Extended, which I bought at an academic discount when I was working on my previous degree (yeah, another one in progress now), and there's really no contest between 7 and CS4 - the latter wins hands down, and it's not even close. And CS5, which is what I'm using on some courses, has things like content aware fill... they just keep getting better.

Yep, it will change, even Firkraag disapproves of the current pagination. Wouldn't wanna mess with him, that's for sure!

I disagree. This is a very nice shade of green and those green accents (pagination, "search" and "sign up" buttons) look very nice on this otherwise brown/white scheme. Any change will be for worse. :(

What's up guys, Smiling Imp here... The forum looks great, but I have one bad thing I have to bring up. I just tried to upload the newest version of my mod and was unable to. It will not let me add a file or a screenshot.

If you'll read my first post, you'll note that I mention the DM isn't working properly. It's something we're trying to get fixed. In the meantime, just attach the newest version to a forum post. :)

Forgive me if this is already known, but CODE tags remove all indents and extra newlines. You can go back and put them all back in, but it's a serious pain. It's more than just a minor nuisance because it can make code unreadable. What's more, if you put space indents in, every time you edit the post, it apparently multiplies them on its own somehow. For example, I had to edit this post to format the code properly. It was off a bit on a couple lines so I edited it, but it put in double the number of indent spaces in many places. Guess I won't be editing it again unless someone can fix it. Anyway, looks good otherwise - keep up the good work.

Nice work on the upgrade. I have two issues:

1. My TobEx public test release .rar attachment gets corrupted with an extra byte (0xA) at the start of the file when I upload. I have tried uploading multiple times with the same result.

http://www.shsforums...post__p__533059

2. I cannot PM a member of the forum with an apostrophe (') in the name.
