I need a little more details to make my choices.

TobEx 0022 and later should fix this but in your game you can try turning off the following fixes in TobExCore.ini as they were buggy in the version bundled with SCS:

Damage Fix=0
Dexterity Mod=0
Magic Resistance Mod Fix=0
Poison Fix=0
Strength Mod=0

The "ghosting" problem isn't a really big one so what's the best option? Should I try installing a new version of SCS, just update TobEx, or what?

Turning off certain fixes sounds less appealing than simply keep that ghosting problem.

~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #1502 // Altered item shattering; Make armor and shields shatter: 9 (25 Nov 09)
~SETUP-HARDTIMES.TP2~ #0 #0 // Hard Times v2 (BGT): 2.4 (BGT)
~SCSII/SETUP-SCSII.TP2~ #0 #3050 // Replace +1 magical weapons with Fine ones: v20

Yeah, I figured that this is the stuff creating my problems.

But I need to know if item shattering eventually is solved within the game (or if it continues forever).

I rather like the idea behind Hard Times, but they are overblown because of the issues I've described. I wish there was some middle ground but I guess it's not an option. What happens if I remove now without restarting the game?

Is there a modular version of Hard Times, say to keep prices, but without the other changes?

Same for that last patch, what happens if I remove it? Will I have back +1 weapons?

Also a bigger question, what if I make a brand new install, update all patches to latest versions, including BGT from 1.12 to the current 1.14, and remove Hard Times, items shattering and replace magical weapons.

Everything else set exactly as it is right now.

Would this be enough to invalidate my saves or I should be fine?

You could try and drop an updated TobEx.dll into your installation (backup the old one first). Should give you fixed fixes as I understand it.

It would screw up your save games, yes. But as you aren't enjoying yourself at the moment starting over might not be a bad thing. You could always start cheating a bit instead of course.

As for your other questions: I don't know. Someone else?

Well, for now I uninstalled "Replace +1 magical weapons with Fine ones" and updated TobEx. played for a couple of hours without issues.

But then my priest leveled up and when I tried to summon undead my "skeleton" appeared as something like a red shaded orc or ogre. What could have caused this problem? I don't even know if it was already there since I've never used before the summon undead spell.

Normal skeletons that spawn are fine, and I've even tried to run the game without TobEx but the problem is still there, so it's not that. So it seems to be just the priest spell. Any way to fix this manually?

This is what it looks like:

Well, I tried the Turambar fix, but it didn't work.

So I went and uninstalled "Distinctive Undead: v5" and that worked.

I have now summonable green colored skeletons, but at least they are skeletons...

Seems I'm bumping into more issues. Not bugs, I think.

The last problem is that I can't do much against a mage that precasts "minor globe of invulnerability". He becomes immune to everything and in the meantime is free to set everything on fire.

Do I have any options?

My cleric has a "dispel magic" spell, but it seems doing nothing, and my mage has yet to get level 3 spells (and I don't think that would help, either). Is this another roadblock or there's some way to smart through these sort of battles?

Everything went smooth until Chapter 4, now the game is filled with locations I can't go because my party can't deal with this (like invulnerable mages or creatures that can only be damaged by magic weapons, see above...).

Wish I could get some help...

the Globe of Invulnerability was not an issue. It only protects from magic, but not from normal attacks. I didn't know this because I tried to attack, but my attacks were completely ignored (not even hit rolls shown). Then I figured out it was due to Mirror Images. So once the mirror images are down, I can actually hit the target through the Globe.

The issue I have is that if you see my weidu:
http://loopingworld....misc/weidu2.log

You can see that down the list I have this:
~ATWEAKS/SETUP-ATWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #103 // Allow Dispel/Remove Magic to take down Globes of Invulnerability: v3.71
So, since it not even overwritten since it comes down in the order, why my Cleric spell Dispell Magic is doing nothing to the Globe? I tried twice and it didn't work.

Is this an issue or Mirror Images ALSO cause the Dispell Magic to be miscast?

Just from the top of my head, I believe dispel is a %-chance. And just two attempts is too small a sample-size to say if there's anything wrong. Also, if the mage casting dispel is of too low a level (compared to the mage protected by GoI) he'll basically fizzle all the time.

Without the relevant TobEx fix, it's not even "basically" - it's a certainty.

Well, my weidu shows Tobex 23 installed at the end. There isn't a specific component about Dispel Magic so whatever is installed should be in Tobex by default.

Anyway, I'll run more tests to see if it works. The guy I was trying to kill was Lendarn and I've read he's level 9? That would make him quite hard to dispel, I guess.
