Thanks for that Anduin, I didn't see that info about the IA files in that post last night, must have been too late for me ;) but its exactly what I was looking for :) I haven't noticed any problems with any other zipped/Rar files after I extract the mains, at least my last attempt at the install only showed up the freeze when the install.bat tried to install Kivan.

Will update the Install and Fixpack and try again with another go tonight :) fingers crossed haha.

Well, that worked out well. Except that I had not extracted the "Shadows_harpy_frostgiant" and "Belhifet and Marilith" Rar's into the infinityanimations/content folder, and as a result the install.bat skipped the Infinity Animations install altogether and said to extract those files and re-run the installer at a later time.

After everything had finished, I did that. I extracted those files properly and re-ran the installer, only for it to freeze up. The game still plays fine however, but I dunno if anything will go boom later on in the game.

Is there a way to install those files only without using the installer?

 I am unsure. Has generalised biffing been included on your install?

Some one else may be able to give you a better answer. Safe bet would do a complete re-install. IA is a recommended mod for a reason.

Yeah it has, I may just do a complete reinstall, just to be sure. Took about 4 hours all up, so not too bad. Luckily i had backed everything up, and extracted the mods to a separate folder first before copying into the BG2 folder for install.

Otherwise it appears that it should install perfectly fine :)

SUCCESS! :woot:

At last. After messing with IA. (Why doesn't the Belhifet_and_Marilith, Moinesse_edits_IAised, NWN_Misc_I, Shadows_harpy_frostgiant rar's have an IA prefix. Would make sorting a lot easier for people with 3 points in intelligence... (like me  )) and sorting out some missing mods. Everythiing installed...

Well nearly

It stopped to inform me of errors twice.

It said that some components of Item revisions did not install correctly  , yet according to the pdf only the masterwork weapons should have been installled (in fact that part installed correctly  )

Some components of BWP180a (parts that give tougher opponents) also did not install... oh well maybe I will not die as quick then...

It did not stop, but informed me that iispellsystemadjustments also did not install.

However no real game breaking issues.

I include files for your enjoyment oh great modders! (I know you like staring at the voodu text jargon all to make the world a better place to slay orcs  )

EDIT: Randomly pressed a wrong button and the attachments appeared at the top... sigh... intelligence 3.

It did not stop, but informed me that iispellsystemadjustments also did not install.

Well:
setup-iiSpellSystemAdjustments.exe --language 0 --skip-at-view --force-install-list 0 --logapp
...
 setup-iiSpellSystemAdjustments.exe --language 0 --skip-at-view --force-install-list 3 --logapp
Doesn't point to any input files, as the mod needs a bit more numbers than 0, 1, 2 and 3...
type 1111.txt | Setup-iiSpellSystemAdjustments.exe --language 0 --force-install-list 0
Where the "1111.txt" would be a file with the input numbers. This of course is somewhat hard to automatize in BWInstalls ...

  • IRv3 borking, dunno why but it seems you're either not using the latest BWPFixpack (that contains IRv3b1.5) or you're trying to reinstall the BWPFixpack after installing it once
  • BP borked because you didn't install BP's core component (which is strange because the BWPInstall.bat should've done that unless you changed some stuff in it )
  • iiSSAM installs pretty fine for me via the BWP in its current state so dunno what's borking  (you sure you're using the most recent Installpack btw?)

I've always advocated re-extracting every mod again if they've been tampered with (by you or by the BWP before trying a new install, saves a LOT of hassle in the long run :)

Lollorian. Thank you for reading the small probs regarding IRv3.

I used BiG World Fixpack v10.3.1

BiG World Installpack v10.3.1

BiG World Borkpack (why have I got a bad feeling about this... ) v10.2.1

No changes made to BWP180a. Wanted it as it comes.

Has there been any new updates I have missed?

Sure it's human error somewhere.

Do I still need to use that Borkpack?

Yes :P... if you dare

Really though, the borkpack isn't meant to voluntarily bork your system now, is it? ;) It cuts off a good 2 hours and a few GBs of wasted space when installing the megamods :D
