**EDIT**Used an older version and it allows the selection of the file for the mod and to force its use, so it is installing now, but has the newer version had this ability removed?**EDIT**

Hey guys, I am hoping someone would be able to steer me in the right direction, I have just formatted my computer  and so needed to reinstall Baldur's Gate with mod, however when using the BiG World Setup.vbs I am running into a problem. As Gibberlings 3 is down I am getting a fair few mods that require a manual download, specifically the BG2 Fixpack v.9, however having found these files and put them into the Big World Download folder they are not detected by the setup? The main issue is the fixpack as this stops the installation proceeding. Hopefully I am missing a straight forward solution but I have not been able to find anything describe this issue? Help?!

some mods require manual install not just extraction to the game folder (the "manual" part is only another extractor that does the same thing but that winrar can't handle, boooo). There are some others that require extraction AND installation.

Infinity animations has some additional steps to be taken (it's not packaged correctly for extraction in the game).

The setup tool is likely going to give you wrong results. What it thinks are the last versions are not, broken links etc.

I'd do a completely manual install. It really is the only way to be sure.

Upgrading is a piece of work though (you need to compare the version the mods you had with the latest - you can do that with comparing the pdfs of your old version and the new).

Ideally, i'd encourage all modders to move towards simple rar or zip file packaging without frills. No additional dir you have enter and copy to the game when installed, no exec that opens a readme, no "smart" installers that change the name of dirs while being extracted, no weidu autostart (ok, you can do this, if i can just extract with winrar without it), and god forbid, no custom file patching that is not weidu.

Unzipping 300 mods by mass selecting is 400 times faster than unzipping 150, installing 149 by hand, closing 149 weidu prompts, one by one, and then copy pasting the infinity animations files where it expects them (instead of just using the right folder structure).

Wow, didn't realize i was that ranty.

You should go in to BWS/Config folder open the file mod.ini and check the size of the undetected mods, it has to be exactly the same as the mod, and change it accordingly if it is different

Where did you find the files to manually d-load them? I have someone trying to get my bwp set up as i gave up on it and they tell me that they thought they had it all figured out and were trying to install the files after lauching the bwp installer, but the gibberlings 3 link attempts kept failing. It would seem that gibberlings 3 is gone as the site(url) has been suspended so any links (and i'm told there are many) to gibberlings 3 will no longer work. I'll let them continue working on it if they want, (my daughter and g-daughter), but i'll just play a vanilla run through all the games and call my nostalgia yearning over and done and start on skyrrim.  Cheers!

PS: My girls have my log-in info and will continue to watch, post and look for answers here.
