I am running the BWS with the recommended installation. Am currently playing the BG1 campaign.

I had Branwen in my party. At one point I wanted to try out someone else I ran across. So I let Branwen go with the thought that I would pick her up again later. She seemed to get huffy and rather than stand there like most characters, she ran off. My reputation at the time was 18-20. I did a bunch of other stuff, now I want Branwen back in my party but she I don't know where she is. She is not outside the Friendly Arm Inn, nor inside the main room. Is there somwhere else she might be hanging out?

Alternatively, is it possible to edit party membership. I have Shadowkeeper, but I don't see where I can edit who is in my party. If it is possible, I would appreciate learning the steps to do so.

Thank you,

there might be some weidu hackery done to a savegame but I'd highly recommend against that.

you could tho, check and see if Branwen is listed as being somewhere in your savegame (use NI or something like that). might be possible tho that since your rep was in the good range that she being neutral took off for good....

I haven't played BG1 in a long time so I'm not sure if it works the same way, but in BG2 you could use the console to spawn another copy of Branwen, talk to her and get her to rejoin your party. Of course, this new copy wouldn't have any of the items, spells, etc. that the Branwen who was in your party got while she was in your party, it would be as if she were starting again from scratch. You could use Shadowkeeper to open a saved game with this new copy of Branwen and an old game from when you still had the original Branwen in your party and compare them side by side and give your new Branwen the proper attributes. If the game won't let her join your party for some reason you can use the cheat ctrl q, to force her to join, at least you can in BG2. That's what I do in BG2 everytime I import my PC back into the beginning of SOA and want Viconia to come with him. I spawn a new Viconia and edit her with Shadowkeeper until she is as she was at the end of TOB.

EDIT: I think when characters run off in the way you stated that they disappear from the game entirely. I had Jaheira do that to me once in BG2 when I got rid of her so I a new character could join, but when my reputation was really low. She was mad because my reputation was low and said something to the effect that she was never coming back because of how evil I was. Korgan did the same thing when I was too good. I don't think there's anyway to get them back at that point other than in the way I described in my earlier paragraph, although BG1 may be different.

You can look into your .gam file (with the likes of Near Infinity) to see where all NPC locations etc. There are details on where to look in the .gam format in the IESDP if it ever gets back online :(.

Infinity Engine Contributions

PnP Free Action * Thrown Hammers * Unique Containers * BG:EE * BGII:EE * IWD:EE
