What's new? Corrections to the install.bat (thanks to billy3); new fixes according to the "Fixes for the BiG fixpack" thread; mods updated to the most recent version; a few new mods added.

I would suggest that you move my mod after the BG2 Tweaks, since my Slow Drow Items Disintegration tweak (#2050) overwrites that of BG2Tweak (#1050); installing the latter over the former can lead to undefined results.
Or, even better, please mark those two components as incompatible with each other.

Is there a point in adding the altered knock spell?

It should probably be expert if so, since it's mostly a solo tool.
There are fixes so it installs in the BiG world in its topic.

May I ask what date the fixes are through from the fixpack thread? I ask because I really am interested in this mod AND unfinished business, but I don't have much experience modding this game.

May I ask what date the fixes are through from the fixpack thread?

The BWPFixpack v10.2 seems to contain stuff upto post #514 in that thread :cheers:

I ask because I really am interested in this mod AND unfinished business, but I don't have much experience modding this game.

By "this mod", if you mean:
1) The BWP - it already contains UB so you're good :D (might I tell you that the BWP isn't a mod per se though :P Just a set of tools to make mods wortk together)
2) The Altered Knock Spell Mod - you'll want to use the fix i30817 mentioned in the Fixpack thread and add it to the install.bat :P

Though I'm a tad concerned about the adding part because in past BWPs, I just had to add a line to the install.bat - now there are various files that may need to be edited (... referring to my failed attempt to install iiSpellSystemAdjustments via the new install.bat :unsure:)

Could someone summarize what files the install.bat refers to during the actual installation? :ermm:

"I am the smiley addict, yellow and round, this is my grin :D when I'm usually around :P.
When there's trouble brewing, see me post, cuz it's usually a wall o' yellow and your eyes are toast!!!"

I think this is one of those odd cases where attaching a file would've been better than posting in spoilers :D The relevant lines in BGT's install that failed are:

Copying and patching 1 file ...
[./override/SW1H19.ITM] loaded, 458 bytes
ERROR: cannot convert abil_target_fx_num or %abil_target_fx_num% to an integer
ERROR: [SW1H19.ITM] -> [override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Not_found)
Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Core], rolling back to previous state
Unable to Unlink [BGT/Backup/0/OTHER.0]: Unix.Unix_error(1, "unlink", "BGT/Backup/0/OTHER.0")
Now whether this is because of the new code or some other reason might need investigating :P But you might wanna mention which BWPInstallpack and BWPFixpack you're using :) Relevant code in normal BGT.tp2:
Spoiler

BWPFixpacked code: (just the 1st line changed :lol:)
Spoiler

Also, please zip/rar/7z the file called BiG World Debug.txt in your BGII-SoA folder and attach it to a following post :cheers:

Sorry, the debug file is gone. I'm already recopying the mods.

It was the first error though.

The versions were the 10.2 versions, that is:

BiG World Borkpack v9.6.1
BiG World Textpack v10 ENGLISH
BiG World Fixpack v10.2
BiG World Installpack v10.2

So, i just need to change that line?

This is one of the new changes in the BWPfixpack to retain the BG2Fixpack changes right?

Wouldn't that defeat that purpose, copying to the override?

Changing that line didn't work.

ERROR: cannot convert abil_target_fx_num or %abil_target_fx_num% to an integer
ERROR: [SW1H19.ITM] -> [override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Not_found)
Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Core], rolling back to previous state
Will uninstall 1881 files for [SETUP-BGT.TP2] component 0.
Uninstalled 1881 files for [SETUP-BGT.TP2] component 0.

Here is a big world debug of this run (with that line changed)

I know this is inconvenient but if you do manage to give it another try, could you delete the file BiG World Fixpack\BGT\Setup-BGT.tp2.patch before running the install.bat? :unsure:

We can eliminate the BWPFixpack's new patch as a cause if it still borks after that :P

I can do it, but apparently the BGT can't be uninstalled? What i usually do is insert pause in the Big World Install.bat after things i know will bork to try out things, but it seems BGT fails restoring the files it changes, forcing me to unzip all the mods again?

I have the batch file now idling in a pause after the BGT install, and i wonder if i can just call it again in the next line after deleting that file or if it will not work due to the botched uninstallation.

I just noticed this :unsure:
patching file `bg2fixpack\setup-bg2fixpack.tp2'
processing fixes for "BG2_Tweaks"
patching file `BG2_Tweaks\dlg\crom5.d'
patching file `BG2_Tweaks\baf\P#FW2301.BAF'
patching file `BG2_Tweaks\Setup-BG2_Tweaks.tp2'
processing fixes for "BGT"
patching file `BGT\Base\BAF\ar8300.BAF'
patching file `BGT\Base\BAF\ARU002.BAF'
patching file `Setup-BGT.tp2'
Hunk #38 FAILED at 3999.
1 out of 42 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to Setup-BGT.tp2.rej
processing fixes for "BGTTweak"
patching file `BGTTweak\24\CREExcl.txt'
processing fixes for "Bonehillv275"
patching file `Bonehillv275\bafs\BH0107.BAF'
... which implies that you're not installing on a fresh install ;) (you'll need to re-extract every mod because the BWPFixpack makes some changes to files that aren't reverted when you uninstall :P)

Preferably reinstall BGII-SoA itself but re-extracting mods should do good enough I guess :unsure: I just tried BWPFixpacking my BGT folder and it correctly patched everything without any failures :cheers:

Meanwhile, please check whether you have the latest BGT :unsure: (silent updates may have gone through or sommin)

I'm still using the old version of Bone hill, though that is not the problem.

I'm also using newer or already patched versions of some other mods.

Check/upload the sw1h19.itm from the override. It probably doesn't have two effects on its melee header (e.g., due to another mod), which would cause the BWPFixpacked code to fail with this error.

I'll do a pause in the install bat before BGT, then do a changelog, then delete the tp2 file mentioned above then report if it progressed and post the changelog.

This seems alright?

Your game appears to be corrupted. Anyway, I think the safest thing here would be to use the new WeiDU function ADD_ITEM_EFFECT, in order to be able to deal with any modified file:
COPY_EXISTING ~SW1H19.ITM~ ~override~
	LPF ~ADD_ITEM_EFFECT~ INT_VAR
		opcode=3 //berserk
		target=1 //self
		power=1
		duration=60
		header=1 //add to first header
		type=1 //melee
	END
BUT_ONLY

The changelog (before BGT is installed) says:

[WeiDU.exe] WeiDU version 23000
[WeiDU.exe] Using scripting style "BG2"
override/sw1h19.itm

Mods affecting SW1H19.ITM:
00000: /* from game biffs */ ~ITEM_REV/ITEM_REV.TP2~ 0 0 // Item Revisions by Demivrgvs: V3 Beta 1.1

The file itself:

Sure.

I suspect all the patches are written in the same precarious style.

Guess i should have installed item rev v2 huh.

I couldn't delete the tp2 file. It was already applied by the fixpack, i thought it would be applied after starting the BGT install (yes, i know :wacko: ).

BWP may want to wait with this (Hurricane's) patch for BGT. The sentiment of the patch is admirable, but in this case it is not quite cut and dry. Item Revisions changes sw1h19 into another weapon (bad practice, but that's another topic). Normally BGT would overwrite the item back into the BG1 item (sw1h19 from BG2 is slightly different), but with the patch you'd get the item from Item Revisions, except it now also causes the wielder to go berserk (for no apparent reason, since Item Revisions has turned it into a different item).
