So I thought it was done. And now aparently theres this weidu thing it failed to download (can't be that important riiiight?) that I need for it all to run.
Wonderfull.
Let's try and find it. Oh dear, why can't people at least label things properly, (another 30 mins wasted downloading stuff i already have) I want the weidu file not the BGT whatever it is file. Eventualy I find a promising link, is this the one? Oh the page doesnt exist anymore.
Search forums. Oh some nice weidu links. FUUUUUUU Does not exist!
Before someone sends me a link to http://www.weidu.org...Windows-229.zip It's not there.
Help me end this torture please!

It's been updated to 230 here's news topic. This has arguably been THE most frustrating computer experiance in my life. Must have reinstalled 7 times, just to get Big world working, Reinstalled SoA another 3 times to get it to realize the movie files were indeed there. And well lots more hardship that I wont bore you with,

Get a clean install. Clean, BG2 only, SoA+ToB+the latest non-beta patch(sorcerers.net have it, look in Games/BG2 section, patches and such). Then backup your baldur.exe, bgmain.exe, chitin.key, dialog.tlk and the entire override directory, and store this backup somewhere.
Once it's done, think carefully about which mods you want. Use Big World list of mods if you want, or go through these forums, and also forums.pocketplane.net and forums.gibberlings3.net. You'll likely want mods like BG2 Tweaks, Level1NPCs, Banter Pack/NPC Flirt Packs(if you want more NPC interactions), and more. Actually, choosing mods can be fun. But basically, if you're installing 8-10 mods and each of them is smaller than ~30 mb, you're going to be fine. Just read the readmes for the install order(install BG2 Fixpack first and Widescreen mod close to last, this sort of thing).
You'll do fine. (And you'll get to the Big World eventually, if you want. It's just a lot of mods mean a lot of files, and as such, there are compatibility troubles/performance troubles sometimes).

Ive only noticed two things. Holy crap how long does it take for a theif to hit something. I must have spent 5 minutes fighting a single Xvart without blows being exchanged...
Second. I instaled the recomended mod version and THINK i checked the No foreing langauge mods... But I seem to have german npcs everywhere. How would I go about fixing this?
Thanks for all the help.
Also, (holy crap Svirfneblin, level one magic resistance ac -2 and miror image. Tank theif.)
