Your mod sounds interesting, I hope I will try it soon!
Btw, may you traify dialog files? It is good style, I believe many translators will be happy to translate your mod into their native language.

I tried to TRA-ify my files in my first mod but was never able to succeed in doing so. All the newer mods do it that way b/c it makes translation easier, but unfortunately, it was not the way I learned to do it from the tutorials that I read. I remember Jarno went over the process on the CoM Forum, but that was a while ago and I never got it down. If anyone knows an easy way to do this please let me know.. Otherwise, I'm sure I could look it up, find it somewhere and try myself, but it will probably take a while.

I wrote traification .bat file for you (original code has been written by Ardanis).
Just unpack attached arhive into BG2 main folder (and copy your mod there) and run traify.bat. As result you must get all tras in BG1NPCSoA\tra\English. But be carefull! Your original .d files will be also modified and will be using .tra files from that folder. The same thing will happen with .tp2 file!
Next you need to add additional strings at the beginning of .tp2 (after string AUTHOR ~Smiling Imp: MBONE911@excite.com~) like

AUTO_TRA ~BG1NPCSoA/tra/%s~

LANGUAGE ~English~ ~English~ ~BG1NPCSoA\tra\English\setup.tra~

That is all.

Now traslators can add translations into your mod by creating folder like Russian in BG1NPCSoA\tra and putting translations of .tra files there. Also they need to add one line into .tp2 like

LANGUAGE ~Russian~ ~Russian~ ~BG1NPCSoA\tra\Russian\setup.tra~

to add support of their language into installer.

I encounter one problem in Dran Draggore quest. After killing Dran Draggore when you try to talk to Dalindra she has nothing to say.

I think that problem is in Dalindra's ETBNPC2.dlg. You check Dead("7XCRE29") think that it should be Dead("DRANDRA").

At least it work for me after i made the change to dlg-file.

The Dran Draggore Quest was the one quest I totally tried to rehash since the last version. I was not satisfied with the end result, and Dran would not even appear in the area I originally desired, so I had to change it. I thought I had it down, but after seeing your post yesterday, I did another check and noticed that Branwen was not interjecting properly with the Alcolyte and I mistakenly thought it was an error from the files being TRA-ified, :wacko:

But it turned out that after I changed the dialog name from which it was to be externed, it worked fine. Keep reporting those bugs and errors! I want this version to be the best (and most error free :P ) yet! And thanks again for playing. :cheers:

But no for Bhaalspawn like me. :devil: :P I'm only after profit and expecially for new unique items. :Tasty:

Well it ain't big deal. I'll hit level 50 before i'll get to ToB anyway so it doesn't matter. It's just principal of my that should get at least 1 exp for each killing. It's just strange that you get same amount exp for killing rabid chickens (0 exp) at Baldur's Gate. :lol:

About Branwen wrong interjection i did encounter that and also at Tranzig Encounter. I also did have same problem with Shar-Teel at starting the Battle Pit (by the way Diablo Rex 0 exp ;) ), Garrick at Silke Encounter and Yeslick at Bolbek Orothiar Encounter.

I didn't know what's going on so i didn't report those (i didn't understand that these might not be same problem as Xzar's). Sorry :blush: I'm no modder.

I encounter wrong interjection problem (game CTD) with Xzar (but that might relate to my earlier problem, Xzar, Montaron and Kagain wasn't installed so i made missing npcs from TDD cre-files and they might have wrong script-files) and i haven't finish Xzar's quest yet (made some local fix to start the quest). Also Montaron had wrong interjections at Zoran Encounter this might be also wrong script-file.

My BWP expert install might not be ideal for mod testing but haven't encounter any serious problems in this or earlier expert installs that i have played from Candlekeep to Throne of Bhaal.

I have one problem with Lady Heloise and Uncle Fulbert. Uncle Fulbert (7xcre50) has probably wrong dlg-file (bg1x26). It's same as Lanfear's (7xcre66) dlg-file. Quickly looking i didn't find the correct dlg-file so i'm wondering which is the correct one. I like finish that quest too. :D

I think that only Coran and Safana (done Forest of Tethyr) encounters remain. I'm going to try those later today.

Heh. I'm afraid that i can't try Faldorn in near future. It's going to take at least 2 to 3 month's before i get to ToB.

Hello all,

I would like to report an amazing bug with the quest of Ricster Hawklight :

When I go to see Galoomp the bookeeper he says waits for the night for the deamon : waiting for the night and then Firebead Elvenhair is spawning... but it doesn't stop spawning having the screen filled with clone of the elven dude.

It's a bit embarrassing because every time a clone is spawning he starts to speak with me and join my party...
I just got the bug, didn't try to do anything yet to fix it, but any advice is welcome.
As I'm pretty new with modding i dont know what kind of text file i can show you here...

I have done that already but i have nothing bad to report about that quest because it went ok.
