Hi everyone~

I am an BG2 old player recently trying to re-play the Chloe Mod. I get a weird problem and really need your help.

What I do for re-playing the game is very simple. I just install the SOA, TOB, TOB 26498 patch, Chloe v1.5, BG2 Tweaks v9 and copy the <save> file from my old PC to the current one then it's done. Originally in my old PC I have been in the romance plot with Chloe, while when I load the same file on the new PC the dialogue changes:

"Why do you wish to waste my time with idle banter?"

She just keeps saying it, and I don't know why. There must be something wrong. Is here anybody can help me? Or at least tell me the cause.

Thank you very much.

A Reinstallation may not be compatible with an old version, especially if you're using a Save game from a previous installation with an old version of Chloe.

Meantime, posting your WeiDU log as with Spoiler tags or attachments, would also help a lot.

Edit : just saw your order. It shouldn't be a problem but you may need a new game with Chloe to experience the mod right ;)

Eh, welcome, sorta, I guess its solved?

Just a note on Saved Games, you generally want to maintain an installation that is the same to prevent a Save Game from becoming useless. If you uninstall any mod that was installed when you saved game, there is a good chance of your Save Game screwing up.

ie.
Let's say you have mods A B C D installed.
Then you play and have a Saved Game.
For each of the following cases, this is what could happen.

1) You then install mods E F G, assuming they install without errors.
The Saved Game should still work.

2) You uninstall mods C D and install E F G C D.
The Saved Game could well be screwed up.

3) You uninstall mods B C D, then reinstall C D E F G
The Saved Game could very well be screwed up.

4) You uninstall mods B C D, then reinstall B C D E F G.
The Saved Game *might* be screwed up.

So yeah, great that it worked out for you.
As a general rule, you probably want to note that Save Games don't go very well with Mod un-installations / re-installations
Cheers.

Well, I guess I'd better un-install/re-install all the game. You are right. Thank you for reminding.

Actually you don't need to. I was just suggesting not to expect Save Games to work properly after you've reinstalled.

Maybe you can start a new game with Chloe v1.5 ?
