Last year I bought and installed BG1 and 2, all the expansions, installed all patches and downloaded the tutu mod. I then played BG1. Unfortunately as I came to the end I developed RSI (pain in my arms) and was not able to move onto BG2. I did however load the final save from BG1tutu into BG2 then saved when I could.
Hopefully I am now ready and fit to move onto BG2 and I discover there is something called Big World which will do all sorts of wonderful things for me, (although exactly what I'm not clear). My questions:
1/ If I'm going to use Big World do I have to delete the whole of my existing installation, reinstall and run the Big World installer?
2/ Will I still be able to load in my BG1tutu save.
Sorry if these are silly questions. The amount of information seems so bewildering.

You need a clean install.
Guess Tutu and BGT don't use the same variables. And you most surely don't have the translations/text at the place where the save will tell the game to look for them, so they'll be messed up.
I'd strongly suggest a new installation.
