Good time of the day!

I've encountered a bug with protection from petrification which is not working in multiplayer. Here is the thing.

- When server and client are in the same location let's say AR8107(BG1 house with a basilisk) ALL protections from petrification fail. Be it spell/Sukien ring/potion it doesn't matter.

- If server(Player1) walks in to the location alone and client(Player2) is outside, protection from petrification works all right.

- If I taker control over the clients char(he is connected to server, just not in control) and fight with Basilisk using Player2, each Basilisks successful attempt to petrify brings a message: "Hold: Server is taking conrol over this char"(it's not an accurate phrase, cause I'm not playing english version.) This phrase pops up despite the fact I'm already in control of everyone.

So if I play alone using multiplayer save or Player2 is in a different location, everything is fine. Otherwise I have no means to protect myself from basilisks gaze, which is very sad I must say.

My guess is that petrification somehow is trying to switch control from client to server when there is a successful hit with TB#PETRI.SPL. But it fails and for some reason petrifies everyone regadles of their protection status.

My WeiDU log you can see in this post, the only difference is that I use Russian installation(but just in case I also attached Russian)

The reason for the control switch should be that the character is actually auto removed from the party up on petrification...
The protection spells only work when they know what to protect against... this TB#PETRI.SPL is a new spell from a mod, so.

Deactivated account. The user today is known as The Imp.

Well... I searched through protection spell and it protects against TB#PETRI.SPL.

Jarno do you happen to know a walkaround to this problem? I mean if this spell is alien to BG, how can I make it "not alien"?

If this is very difficult, I'm thinking about replacing TB#PETRI.SPL effects with different ones, but the question is how will protection items/spells react to this. Will I be able to defend against this spell?

Jarno thanks for the answer btw. :)
