Hi, so while doing my first playthrough of the trilogy last year my laptop died and I never bothered to reinstall the games. I did backup my saves beforehand, though, and now I want to finally finish everything off. However, I was playing through BGT 1.06 and that version is apparently unavailable now - I see that the oldest version being offered for download is 1.08. Could someone out there upload 1.06 for me so I can finally finish the Underdark and Shadows of Amn and so I can get to Throne of Bhaal?

Also, is there an easy way to determine what mods I had installed? I think I mostly stuck to vanilla, no new quests or anything but I'm not sure if I ever put BG2 Unfinished Business in.

Here's 1.06 for you: http://depositfiles....files/cmzmma952

As for telling what mods did you had, it's possible to guesstimate it to some extent by looking at global and local variables' names in your save files and compare them with variables introduced by the mods you suspect you had, but I think it would be real pain in the bottom to do.

Thanks for the upload! I was afraid you'd say something like that about mods. Oh well, I'm pretty certain I had nothing major put in, I basically wanted a vanilla game but with better graphics for BG1. Thanks again for the help.

The game folders WeiDU.log has all that info, but if you deleted the game folder as you let us understand, then you don't have that file.
Now if you have the game folder still, you can actually play the game without a reinstall at all, as you only need to start the game from the BGMain.exe ...

Unfortunately when I said my laptop died I meant that it died completely and I had to replace the hard drive, so that game folder is no longer among the living. But thanks for trying to help, I'm just thankful I'm obsessive about backing up.

Just remember to back up a copy of Weidu.log along with your savegames next time :)

Why not make a working back up from the install, it's not that big deal to have an external HD with 2.5 GB's - 30 GB's space to spare to the game, as good as BGII.

Oh well, some things to remember for the next backup, then.
