I'm guessing that it would go near the end of any installation that follows the BWP install order guidelines.
Happy modding,

A closer look at my backup folder and the one copied from the download reveals some differences in file numbers. There are a bunch of new folders as well as two new .mus files. Is this intended?
Yes, this is intentional. As the readme says, the mod fills up the broken entries/tracks in the vanilla songlist (which is what these files i.a. are for).
It should be four new .mus files, actually.

Odd, I count 117 vs 115. I'm supposed to have 1-2 new tracks for each BG1 NPC, too, so I'm not sure where those are hiding. Anyway, I think what happens is that the sound that's supposed to play when loading completes is somehow replaced by a music track (town music to be specific, it seems).Yes, this is intentional. Should I install this before or after BGTMusic? I've read earlier posts, and this seems to be a vital question @_@
~SETUP-BGTMUSIC.TP2~ #0 #2 // Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Music -> Full Baldur's Gate/Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal Music (WARNING: patches BGMain.exe)
Full Baldur's Gate/Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal Music (WARNING: patches BGMain.exe): Utilises a hack to the executable created by Taimon to allow all Baldur's Gate I and Baldur's Gate II music to be used. The executable hack increases the numbers of SONGLIST.2DA rows supported by the game. Use at your own risk.
Or does it even matter?

Changes!
- v120 for SoA/ToB includes the OSX installer (so no need for a separate download anymore).
- Cutting has been slightly optimised for .acm conversion which may make playback marginally smoother and helps transitions.
- If you already installed the previous version, there is no need to run the WeiDU part to update; just copy the new music/ directory and you're good to go (area patches and game patch are the same).
Initial release for the BG1 Tutu/ToSC version as well, so let me know if anything is weird.

Complicated answer, in large part because I have no experience with BGT.
I don't think there is an install order for this that will work out of the box. It doesn't matter in which order you install the WeiDU components (there is definitely no interference with the patches, compatibility wise). The only problem is setting up your music folder after that.
The following should work:
- Download the new version(s) of the 1pp hq patches from this thread.
- When installing the component, say no to patching area/game files when asked (an option for this has been added).
Do not copy the 1pp music/ folder yet. - After installing both BGTmusic and the WeiDU component, run the included batch converter on your music/ directory.
The game should now play and sound as usual (without any of the new content).
Now find out if and how the playlists (.mus files) and music sub-folders are renamed by BGTMusic and rename the ones in the 1pp_hq_music downloads correspondingly. Last but not least, copy the renamed .mus files and folders over the ones in your install and everything should be good.
A lot of the files probably aren't renamed (e.g. CNite.mus/CNite from BG1 would likely still be CNite.mus/CNite with BGTMusic) but others would have to be as identically named files exist in the games (affecting most battle music files, for instance; BD1.mus/BD1 exists in both games so BGTMusic would have to rename one of them).

Run the HQ Music .exe to patch the executable but not to patch area and game files.
Run BGT Music
For for unique songs a simple override is needed...
For common songs some more work is required... how will I know what music files are BG1 files and which ones are BG2 files?
What if you install the music files in original BG1 and BG2 setups? This way, BGT would only move/use the high quality music.
If you have any insights... that would be great! If not, I will probably kill myself tomorrow trying this out

As for knowing which are which, if you have NearInfinity you can just compare them side by side. One copy of NI open in the BGT install, one in the BG1/BG2 install.
No killing yourself required, I hope

Oh, and there's Icewind Dale.
Really wanted to do this one because I love its music and this is the one with the largest differences between the audio that came with it and the soundtrack; a lot of the songs are extended versions, some are extra material never implemented into the game, some feature a slightly different arrangement, and well... the quality is a lot better.
Hope you like it, and stay tuned for another update later in the day or possibly tomorrow! (not music related)

Crisis solved! I did something unwise during my latest mod installation, including using the wrong mod folder for 1PP hq music, and have corrected it this morning. With additional wrestling, I've completed installation of ~115 mods, and am ready to run some test games to see if it all works together as it should *fingers crossed*
Thanks!

Sorry for my bad english
thanx for the great mod!
i kopied the new and better music in the "Music folder" @ my BGII - SvA Folder.
But now it sounds two times slower than the original music? :/
when i play the new q3music(converted) @mediaplayer classic ,i have to push two times on "increase speed"
then it sounds normal ,but ingame its anyway slow

You need to install the WeiDU patch to make your game play them at the right speed.

PS: off-topic for 1pp, any chance to have an "avatar" icon in the inventory for the "Monk" animation?
