Okay, I'm playing the mega-mod, and when I go to talk to Melicamp the chicken, he just keeps saying "Cluck Cluck etc. HELLP" and then there is no wolf. I can't save him from the wolf like I'm supposed to because there is no wolf anywhere. How do I fix this? And is this caused by the mega-mod?

I really wished the search functioned worked so i can say... "Look for your problem first before posting!" But alas, it doesn't :(
http://www.shsforums...s-cry-for-help/

Activate the console and copy and paste this command
CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("WOLFCH.CRE")
Using Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste.

Be near Melicamp when you type this. And make sure you kill the wolf (it doesn't run away...). This should fix your problem.
Also...

Remember to post your weidu.log when you ask about bugs here, luckily, we already know the solution.
Basically, SCS's running wolf behavior can cause Melicamp's wolf to run away... and thus not die. The next part of melicamps dialogue requires that the wolf is dead.

A solution would be to either
A) Not install component 3110 of SCS.
B) Edit WOLFCH.CRE so it does not use SCS's wolf script (or edit SCS...)
C) Manually spawn wolf again... or manually set dialogue variables.
D) Reload previous save and make sure wolves in the area do not run away...

This is all assuming you have Component 3110 of SCS installed... but I don't know, since you didn't post your Weidu log

If this isn't the problem, you may have to set a variable. Which involves "diggering" through Infinity explorer... which i hate because of all the spoilers... :crying:

Heh. I did search and this is the first one to show up. This is the third time I ran into this same bug so it is nice to have an explanation. I never even knew a wolf existed here. Also, the running wolf feature makes little sense to me. What is it supposed to simulate?

Anyway, that is not my problem. "WOLFCH.CRE" will not spawn at all. I think last time I encountered this I spawned a chicken object in my pocket and took it to Thalantyr. Not the most elegant solution.

weidu.log:
Spoiler

ANd... it turns out that the "WOLFCH.CRE" file generates a "does not exist" error when invoked...which is very odd because I can see the file. Perhaps it is corrupted? No, apparently no creatures can spawn right now for some reason. Any attempt to use the CreateCreature() function gives a "does not exist" error. Is this a byproduct of the LSTest?

Ah no. The problem was in Cerest's example, which included the '.cre' at the end. If you want to spawn a creature it is assumed you arereferring to a cre file, so it should just be "WOLFCH", not "WOLFCH.CRE"

Yeah it sure does, man. But it's cool because I can usually just get around it by spawning the wolf or spawning Melicamp in my inventory.

Actually the search WORKS!! You just have to use google and type the following at the google prompt:

site:shsforums.net <what you want to search for>

and you'll get all the results instantly!

In case anyone cares, that's already in the pinned thread on this very forum... but what the original poster was saying was that the SHSForum search is not working, not a search...
Search for the word "mega-mod" without the quotes, and the SHS search gives no results, but you can check and the original post(#0) has that word for example.

Oh yes, I meant the google search works as a work around to the site's search which is indeed, broken!
