Big time newbie here. Just learned what a mod is and would like to install BGT111 along with some lesser mods on my pc (which is not online). Such as BG1UB-v7, BAGBONUS v1.0, SWORD AND FIST-v7 and THALANTIR. For some reason I can't get into weidu.log and my pc won't let me put BGT111 into the gamefile and open it. Just purchased BG1 through NWN, and I have installed BG1, TOTSC, BG2 and TOB. Now I would like to know how to get the BGT111 installed. What is the weidu.log?

What is the weidu.log?

Well, it's a text file made in the installation of the mods, it says what mods are installed and in what order. You open it with Notepad for example.
So now to the installation of the BGT. You fisrt want to fully install both BG1 and the BGTotSC to one folder that's not in your program files folder, yeah the installer might say that you might not have enough space on your hard drive but that's because the program was made to handle less than 2 GB's spaces, then you want to install the latest official patch to the TotSC game, that is the 5512, this links to the Bioware's own site as their own sites screen was botched some time again, but the download links are still good, after the install is done, you need to start a new game so the game is finally set up with .
Then install the BG2 and the ToB, again fully, and the latest official patch that is 26498. Start the game making a new character and going pass the torture scene after which the game autosaves, you can then exit.

After that's done you go and extract the mod files to the game directory, usually by just starting the archive file, in this case the BGT111.rar .
Then you just start the stup-bgt.exe, it will start the install, answer the questions it will ask you and then it will note that your BG1 game is not in the default folder, it will then ask you to type in the correct patch, which is easiest to do by going to the BG1 game folder with another windows in Windows... and right click and "copy"-ing the path that usually shown on the top portion of the window. You then re-activate the black setup-bgt.exe window and right-click and "paste" and then you just need to push the Enter -button, and the setup should roll on.

I've found that on Vista or Windows 7 the BGT Install will not work if you have installed you BG games to 'program files'. If you run either of these OS, I highly recommend installing your games somewhere else (eg, My document. I have mine installed on portable HD)

That's because it's only the C drives(as that's the usual start drive) Program Files folder & sub-folders that are protected in the latest Window-es. Besides, on Windows Vista and Windows 7, the c drives Program Files (x86) -folder behaves differently on this respect, as Vista doesn't allow overwrites while 7 does... or that's the info I have gotten. I don't have 64bit processor, so...
