Uploading the size of files the BG2 has is a very hard to do, if you can send him a DVD copy of the actual files, the game folder, then it can be done, as you need the entire game folder's content, well actually the data and override -folder contents, but that's half of the game especially if you have BGT etc mods.I got BG1+ToTSC working online with gameranger with my buddy. But He is very new to computers and he just can't get any mods installed. I wrote him Detailed instructions but none the less he can't do it. Now here is my question. Is there any way, that I can copy the modded files only, upload them to an upload site, and have him download it? There is NO way I can pick out each file on its own. Is there a simple way to do this? Something that will mark all of the folders/files needed or gather them up for me? If We cannot get BGT working with all of the mods then for now I just want BG1 to work with BG1 tweaks, (which he also cannot install). And no, explaining it to him doesn't work. He only purchased a gaming computer several days ago and has used PCs mostly for communication.
The details are hidden in plain view in here... and elsewhere.
You also need the dialog.tlk, the chitin.key and few other files beside the folders...

Okay i can't copy the data folder since it is almost 5 GB. I don't see how 40 MB worth of compressed mods should be difficult to install manually. Manual installation seems to be the only option other than remote assistance, which I will try when my friend is available.

The BGT is not the 20 MB's you download, it's 1500++ MB's, see the mod actually copies a large portion of the files from the BG1 directory, then the mod applies a few minor changes to them so the BG2 engine can use the info, and then it packs the files into a file it can read the info fast from... the files are the .bif files, and they are in the data folder.Uninstalled the mod content equals 40 MB. That's it.
