Hi, people!
After months of my work the official beta of the Yoshimo Romance is up!

Yoshimo Romance is a project which introduce brand new romance for infamous rogue - Yoshimo. Curious yes, my friend? The mod includes plenty of content for both SoA and ToB portions of Baldur's Gate 2. Apart from the core component, players can install optional PIDs, additional non-romantic talks, and the already mentioned ToB part of the mod.
I did my best in creating this mod - it offers you a sad romance strongly linked with the plot of Baldur's Gate 2: SoA. Even though after Jon's death romance could possibly end, I decided to add ToB part.
I did my best in making him as in-character as possible, but writing mods is always somehow subjective. It's hard to make a romance for character who's usually hiding all cards in his hand. Again, I did my best.
Note that this romance is written as extension of his original plot, so his fate is somehow written...but even a condamned soul shall be remembered.

For now the mod shall be among mini-mods of G3. What shall happen to it later? We'll see. I need some of your feedback. The romance is less standard than some other, but is Yoshimo a standard NPC? Heh, I doubt, my friend! I'd call him a man of surprise!

So, now I'm waiting for some opinions! But first of all... happy gaming and wealthy Easter!

After I finished my final exams I had the opprotunity to get back into playing BG2 and the first thing I did was install your mod. Without spoiling anything, I firstly want to compliment your ability to keep Yoshimo in character througout the entire mod. That is by far the hardest part, in my opinion, when you are adding to a pre-established mpc....not only did you succeed.....you ran with that victory torch! It truly fit the game and added depth to Yoshimo and the entire situation of the game. I expect even greater things from you in the future, oh modder.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my project I did my best in making Yoshimo in character. Obviously, the mod puts him in brand new situation so I had to think how would Yoshimo behave in this situation, so it introduces something like new aspect of his character. Some may think of it as strange or something... However, I hope at least some players will consider him enjoyable!

I was suppose to be signing up at CoM...but never did. So I'll just post it here.
Anypoop. I started over on the Yoshimo portrait as I just didn't like it. Then realized he still wasn't coming out looking like the rest of the portraits I'm working on and let him sit for like 4 days or so. I guess now I'll just release him here (the newer version, not the old one).

I'm more then happy to release any alternate portrait of Yoshimo (that I'm happy with) as I still find that original one to look like he licks stray alley kitties and eats soap. I mean, look, seeing how he's now a romance for the ladies, I think it's okay for him to lick kitties, just not the animals.

This one is for ma ladies. Enjoy!

Thanks! It's marvelous! I'm wondiering - should I keep your old edit of Yoshimo original portrait, just in case some girls would like to keep slightly corrected original BioWare art? Both would be available in the installation process.

LOL, anyway, if you get some free time, I think I shall dare you to do a Yoshi portrait! I would love to see what you'd come up with! Ohh, can that be my unofficial, but now official request for this upcoming portrait pack you're working on? A new Yoshi portrait would be lovely!

OMG, anything I do after that would look ugly! Since you asked, I will make a dude who "could be Yoshimo" for our portrait pack. But not for mine, cause that would be shameful when you could just use this guy instead, hah!

By the way, if you got a bit of time, the Yoshimo romance needs a vampire version of him, amd a blue-greyish washed out version of him, both in sizes 38x60. I bet Yoshi romance players would love you forever if you could add those to the donation ;-)

Enkida, you are wrong and so you were when you did the alternative version. It wasn't a vampire, but wraith. That's why it was so shiny. And the other version should be in black and dark blue colours. That's for ToB encounter.

whoops! Any special colouring on the wraith I should know about, besides pale and shiny?

Probably dark and gloomy background, no smile on his face + soft glow effect? That should be enough...
