Could it somehow be linked to the lightning map ("Graphic, Portraits And Sound Mods/Replacement Lightmaps" in BWS) and/or the improved Avatars components ?
I was wrong in thinking it would happen only for some characters, maybe equipping some special armor. It happens even with commoners, usually in dark/dim light areas/spots.

Replacement Lightmaps just replaces some BG1 lightmaps in order to improve the lighting in those areas. 1pp Improved Avatars shouldn't cause this, unless there's a conflict with another mod.

I have been hit with it too!
I have recently re-installed BG-BP-BGT with the latest BWS and now experience occasional neon-pink clothes effects. And, as I entered Beregost I passed a day-glo cow. After flashing for a moment it settled into the normal color pattern. I did notice that I was arriving at night and the cow was on the edge of visible space, but, my characters being uninterested in psychedelic bovines, marched on into the town to seek a different shade of fame.
Maybe they should have stayed to investigate these strange goings-on. Oh, well! If it happens again, I'll have them report any details.

DO NOT REMOVE THIS BUG ! it allows you to meet a pink Panther in BG (it's true).I'm sorry, I forgot to take a snapshot !

Yeah they figured it out in the other thread, the problem is this component:
~SETUP-TURAMBAR_FIXES_TWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2050 // Turambar's slow drow weapon disintegration (a revision of BG2Tweaks code): v1.7.5
Don't install it until it's been fixed by the author unless you want the pink clothes.

Nah, I got to see Pink Polar Bear the other day (really!!), so I'm good.
