Starting on a fresh install of BG1 & BG2, like this :

with BWS obtained from this page :

I get the following error :

The requested file is there :

What am I doing wrong ?

PS : Could the beta version of BWS please be updated to work with BWP 9.9, if time allows ?
Or some explanations given on how to restore functionality within that version (which I really prefer over the non-beta one) ?

Have you edited your Baldur.ini so those cd- paths are directing to the right directories? Was my fault the last time i installed, because i just copied my install into a new directory.

That did the trick.

Like you, I am using copies.

I think it would make more sense to use the actual game folder input by the player, rather than a baldur.ini setting, to check if some files are present or not. If the baldur.ini is incorrect, the game probably would refuse to start, or say something was wrong in the ini file.

Anyway, thank you very much, TearWiz.

Just hoping that the BWS beta could be updated now to BWP 9.9, and I will be a perfectly happy BG camper again :)

One thing:

http://thumbnails

Never use these again. Use the direct link, or use the forum code... but remove the link to imagebam, or where ever you upload the picture to.

Now, all you actually have to do is open the file called "baldur.ini" in the game directory, there's the [Alias] section and add this:
CD5:=whatever this is and then exactly the rest of this line ;E:\bg\BGII - SoA\CD5\

Will do in the future, Jarno.

Sorry if this was against the forum rules, I usually always use this feature on forums, as it gives clickable and small sized thumbnails of images, but I will comply :)

Also, thank you for your help!

Erhm, it's not a forum rule, but if you truly wish people to be able to see the image so they don't have to click and download the images and other content three separate times to be able to actually see it's small feature like the above(directory name)...
