Hello!

I've installed the Big World mega mod pack. Everything went well, but when I enter a new area ingame, after a while I get the "You cannot save at this time." message when I want to save. It happens on all the areas. Sometimes -if I keep pressing the Q button- it will save the game (before and after the save the game still tells me that i cannot save at this time). The autosave still works, when I leave, and after loading that autosave, I can save again for a few minutes.

I'm new here on this forum. I looked around, but couldn't find a thread with the same topic, but if I somehow made a mistake and there is one, could someone redirect me there?

Could have something to do with my mod, in that case you can solve it by ctrl-R ing all members of the party.
Unfortunately, I still have to change one or two things, after the new developments of TobEX

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it didn't help:( I pressed ctrl-R when the whole party was selected and on every single party member, but the game still told me that I cannot save. If I did it wrong then feel free to correct me.

Have you unpaused the game and waited a few seconds afterwards? Anyway, if it still doesn't work, it's not my mod.
My mod actually casts some spells on all players, but they all disappear with ctrl+R. If the bug remains, it should not be my spells' fault

Yeah, I unpaused and waited. So its probably not your mod then.

Try a few times, I think it is just when you catch it. I too am have the problem. Or go into a smaller area (that works for me).

I've tried it several times, but it didn't work.
I usually get this bug after a fight or a dialogue.

Yeah, sometimes when I move my party around and keep the Q key pressed, then it lets me quicksave for a moment(without having to ctrl-R the party). But sometimes I don't even have to move them, spamming the quicksave is enough.

Edit:
But most of the time I cannot save at all, and have to force autosave by leaving the area. So I'm still waiting for suggestions.

I got the same problem. It takes a while before the QuickSave works during periods when it should.

Currently, I can live with it, but I still hope other solutions will come up.

Turn off PARTY AI - You can save, but sometime you must Turn On this. STRANGE but it works.

Doesn't work sadly. Can't save either in BG1 nor BG2. Switching AI on or off doesen't make a difference. Ctrl + R doesn't seem to do anything either.

When you can't save, you can rest or also no? In my game when I can't save I also can't rest.

Same here. Can't rest, can't save. Begins right after looting the chest outside Irenicus' prison before I even released Jaheira/Minsc.

Same in BG1 too, just pick up the item from the haystack or something similar and the game won't let me save/rest.

I have coloured containers, but I still get the "you cannot save at this time" message after dropping them.

I got 6 of 'em (9 containers in all).
