Imoen's BG2 portrait didn't make it

Just played a quick test game to see if the game worked.

Turns out that Imoen still has her BG1 portrait, eventhough I install the BG1 NPC project mod and that according to BWP and the WeiDU log, the installation of her BG2 portrait was successful.

I haven't checked for the other NPCs yet, but that they suffered the same fate is possible.

Which version of Imoen has her BG1 portrait? The one you encounter in Candlekeep?

It hit me in Candlekeep, yes, but I don't remember if it was still the case once outside the keep.

I did found a thread from some time ago that mentions this, Imoen BG1 portrait in Candlekeep only. It also mentions that though the poster solved this point somehow that Jaheira got stuck with her BG1 portrait instead.

I'm about to start another test game to get more on this.

So you know anything about the issue?

Update: Yup, Imoen has her BG1 portrait in Candlekeep only. Once outside, she has her BG2 one. Jaheira also has her BG2 portrait: in my previous installs, she would always have her BG1 portrait.

I can live with the current situation quite easily. :-)

The Imoen in Candlekeep is not a joinable NPC, thus such a component probably doesn't affect her. Though I suppose it would make sense for consistency - might want to report it in the BG1 NPC forum.

I'll do that.

Strange though that in my previous installs, Imoen did have her BG2 portrait in Candlekeep as well as when she joins the party. I guess some sort of interference came this time around, or I left something out, though I wouldn't know what.

You'd have to look at the mod's code (.tp2) - imoen.cre is the CRE in Candlekeep; the joinable ones are imoen1, imoen2, imoen4 and imoen6.

With this setup of mods. I also have experienced that Imoens Portrait hasnt changed to the BG2 one in Candlekeep. I most definitely agree its because the BG1 NPC Project doesnt look for the BG2 portrait on Imoens .cre file of hers when shes in Candlekeep at the beginning of the game with certain mods installed with it. Possibly is conflicting with some of the other mods of Imoens as well. Im thinking that the NPCkitpack or its within her restored dialogues from UB may conflict with it. Something is reverting her portrait back to the BG1 yet the banter pack to change her portrait to the Bg2 one is installed. Maybe this can be looked into as an update for the next version to fix the conflict it is supposedly having.
