I decided to go with Sword Coast Strategems over Big Picture for my AI mod in Big World Setup. However, a few components of SCSII like "Smarter Illasera" "Smarter Yaga-Shura" and "Smarter Gromnir" require BP to also be installed. I thought that you're only supposed to pick one or the other. What am I supposed to do? Thanks.

You don't need to pick one or the other (that information's a bit misleading) but those components refer to components from the Ascension mod. They should also work with the BP-Ascension components (there was a testing thread for that somewhere).

Uhm, what's so misleading about "Improve some Ascension (improved) creatures with SCSII"?
If you want to have Ascension-creatures with SCSII AI, you'll need ascension. That's all it says.
You don't need the AI or anything else from BP, if I'm not mistaken.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

I repeat my periodic warning that BP-Ascension is a modified, not just modernised, version of Ascension, and I don't recommend using SCSII's Ascension components with it.

That's not what I was talking about. What's misleading is the implication here you have to install either BP or SCS(2) and that you can't have both - and I believe this is replicated in the BWS. SCS2 overwrites BP's AI anyway (and thus there should be no 'conflict' if you realise what its doing) but you can still install BP's core with SCS and get the pieces that aren't related to the AI.

So basically I can select both checkboxes for BP and SCSII and it'll be fine?

What are those pieces, specifically? :)

The stuff that's not related to the AI :P.

Frankly, I don't know exact specifics but I asked elsewhere (and got no response - but I imagine it'd be stuff like added projectile files, creature improvements, horred's lair, etc., etc.)

In your orcish opinion - anything worth having (as I, despite statements to ease my mind - in this thread nonetheless - still fears the combination)?

BP adds much to the game and is a good AI, SCS I & II is a very good AI that adds difficulty to many battles that makes standard battles better in a Mega Mod. In my Maga Mod I have many parts of SCS I and BP and they work well together. I find monsters that have BP scripts, who would only use standard ones if only SCS was installed.

To see just what I have installed:

Chev's opinion is better than mine here. I haven't played the combination - I'm just working on the BP code (when I can).
