^Didn't work for me still stuck on installingg the trimpack......Well, I'm not sure what went wrong, but I managed to get it all working after completely uninstalling BG2, deleting the folder, and starting again!

Maybe when you install it again tick the 2nd box that lets you select which mods to install - and deselect that trimpack. I installed mine on "recommended" and didn't notice anything similar.
Another problem! I've noticed when clicking on some characters, right now it's commoners in Beregost, they speak German! It seems something's up with the soundsets that were installed. Anyone have any idea how to narrow this down and fix it?

Did the BWS install the "Ascalons Breagar" ... it's the "setup-ACBre.tp2", it has German, a lot of it.Maybe when you install it again tick the 2nd box that lets you select which mods to install - and deselect that trimpack. I installed mine on "recommended" and didn't notice anything similar.

The beta version seems more advanced, and yet more user-friendly to me.

Is the game on an external hard drive ? Don't do those...But seriously, 18 hours?!?
The installation is STILL going on! I can hardly believe it. Its been two full days now, 48 hours, and it is now stuck at Randomizing Item Placement.
I think I should mention that I'm running windows vista and doing all of this on a second partition of my hard drive that is formatted as Ext2. I can only imagine that the Ext2 file system is what is causing the slowdown. But I'm almost done here... I can't give up now!

As far as I know, drivers for Ext2 are created by programmers in their free time and I doubt that they put the emphasize on speed. In most cases, it's uses to exchange stuff and often more than read only is experimental.
For me, Ntfs-3g is the far better approach if you want to exchange files.

No, this didn't get installed. I made sure to tick the box that said no non-English mods. The text in the dialogue is all fine and in English, it's actually just the sounds they make when you click on them. And it's only two types of commoners! Very weird.

edit: Ok, she leveled up to 2 and got one memorization slot. I guess its normal bard progression.

I am having a problem with the “Cloak of the Sewers”. I posted the question here because I thought it is related to SCSII beta fixes, but it seems not.
There is also a reference in that post related to Cloak of the Wolf which seems not resolved and might be the culprit.
Anyone more information on this?

Hi, I'm trying to install the BWP in my pc. Spanis version
I installed the textpack (the spanish one) the mods are un SoA directory and I have in the directory the fixpack and the install too. When i start the "install.bat" shows me this message
Either the folder "BiG World Textpack" does not exist or
it does not fit to the selectet language.
The file "BiG World Textpack.bat" does not exist.
Please copy the corresponding file and folder into your BGII - SoA
directory and then continue.
And the most disturbing, every times I start the install.bat, the textpack folder and file dissapear.
What can I do?

What can I do?Update to using the BWS would be my recommendation.
Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
