I have a question about Stivan NPC and modder flag.

Does this commenting out work aka remove unneccessary warnings?

OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Yeah... that line shouldn't actually be in any of the released mods actually, as it's mostly functionality for testing.

Try (or search for) diff... There are probably similar tools for windows (winmerge, windiff, diffutils...)...

Hello micbaldur! By the last few pages I'm getting a feeling that you're updating BWP Fixpack internally. Am I correct, and if so, any chance of a public release? :)

Well most of those are personal tweaks (like multi-romance and so on) and i'm not going to share those.

But there are some fixes that i have found and managed to fix, those i can share later, maybe Leonardo could include them to BWP Fixpack.

Yes, please send those to Leonardo and thank you for all your work!

He will definitely include it. And players will be really grateful. From what I've read you manage to fix hundreds of small bugs, dialog breaks, items etc.

Luckily Lollorian has fixed most of those  :D  before he vanished. :(

Sadly some of my fixes i can't fix pre-install (mostly those are areascript related fixes).

Maybe it would be possible to do a mod installed at the end that would do something like: "if something in area.bcs(or any other file) then change it to something" for those fixes? I don`t actually know if it is possible just a idea from the top of my head

There is already a few of those in existing mods:

COPY_EXISTING ~Minsc.bcs~ ~override/Minsc.bcs~
        REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK ~TS/mess/NeJ/o1Minsc.bcs~ ~TS/mess/NeJ/n1Minsc.bcs~
        REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK ~TS/mess/NeJ/o2Minsc.bcs~ ~TS/mess/NeJ/n2Minsc.bcs~
        REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK ~TS/mess/NeJ/o3Minsc.bcs~ ~TS/mess/NeJ/n3Minsc.bcs~

... just adapt the code and copy paste the faulty script to the first file, and the fix on the second.

Yes, if more fixes are needed, it would be much appreciated to create another mod for areafixes.  I really hate to see this work not benefiting others.  Thank you very much.

Fixed Stivan cre bug and comment out modder flag (thanks Imp)
Added one fix/tweak mod

Results for final install:

Everything installed ok. Now i check install are all fixes and tweaks ok. But i think that this is working BWP v 15.0.2 (shit have to play Icewind Dale quickly and not start Icewind Dale II).

You know what would be really nice is if you could post your BWS selections ini so that people could install the same setup. And, this would include a mod to install all your fixes. This way we can all benefit from your efforts

This, actually, make little to no sense as there's hardly two players who will want to play on the same selection of mods, especially when it comes to rule tweaking mods.

Well i don't use BWS so i don't have selections.ini even if i make that you can't install all mods that i have because BWS/BWP bat-file have some "restrictions" that i have edited out. Also i have mods that aren't in BWP or BWS.

There is already "MicBaldur's" selection inside BWS, but I don't know if it is up-to-date.

NESkNtN.png

Actually that wasn't my idea (though i helped little making that selection). That's not my install but it's close to my BWP install you can get with BWS.

As for the up-to-date thing i don't know, selection was made february so there might be some new mods introduced after that i would include.

It is there and I do appreciate that you keep it there. It's probably not up to date and we really need a process to include his fixes too.

Well, from my perspective, it's really important to have a working copy to use as a starting point. I imagine most people here want maximum content with minimum hassle.

My "successful" Big World Install crashes on starting a multiplayer game and cannot save single player games. This tells me that no one has recently tried to actually install almost all the mods ( or I did something stupid).

At any rate. It would be helpful for me and others to figure out a high starting point for compatibility.
