OK so i am sure that this has been talked about a million times all over the web but i just cant seem to find the answer....... i have installed BWP setup on reccomended and everything works fine ......... when i am playing the game it is in the resolution that i set up (1360 X 768) but when i go to a menu like my map or inventory it is in 1024 X 768 with black bars on the left and right ............... any one know whats going on here?

The widescreen mod only adds the black bars... it doesn't enhance those displays. So what's the problem ?

the widescreen mod only makes the actual playing of the game in widescreen it does nothing to the menu gui wich is still in 4:3 and i want my menu to be the same resolution as my game 1366 X 768 in a 16:9 ratio and i know it works because i have done this on a previous install just not sure how i did it

There is no mod that can do that in this aspect ration, you can have the non widescreen resolution, or the 1280x768 resolution stretched so the GUI looks bigger, but it isn't...

yes that is exactly what i am talking about would you know how i get that i dont mind knocking down my game resolution to match the 1280 X 768 i dont mind it being stretched i would rather have it in 16:9 imo ...... thank you for all your replies do you know where i can find the mod to do this?

Well, just use the Widescreen mod to put the 1280x768, reinstall if you must, but then you must start a new game as the old saves will restore the old view, so you better not load them... and then you should look up your Graphic Card control panel so it will by default stretch the view so you get the effect with that resolution...
The BiG World does download the widescreen mod, and it's resolution can be reset with by running the setup-widescreen.exe from your game directory... but first you should look that it was installed quite last on the install order, which you'll see by opening the WeiDU.log file with Notepad, that file is also in the game directory... and you should see it mention the ~setup-widescreen.tp2~ or something alike, at the few last lines of the file... the more lines and ~setup-*modname*.tp2's there are, the more the resetting of the resolution will take time, as the files need to be first uninstalled, then changed and then reinstalled back...

Menus are 4:3 and widescreen mod does not change that, nor other mods do.
So they will always be 4:3 plus black edges.

If there are mods that do, please correct me.
