Hello crazy BG players!

I have been waiting for a ong time before posting, and tried many ways to be able to get the money back from Sir William, to give to Selence. My problem is that I killed him to complete a quest for one of my characters, and I find out difficult to get money back from a dead man, noble or not

Do you have a solution?

Like spawning Sir William back into the world of the livings?

Thanks for your advice,

Doudou

Hello doudou,

This does sound like an interesting dilemma. However, the actual William that you will get a key from is not going to be the same file name as the one I think you disposed of. Either way you have to talk to his butler before going to spellhold and he will tell you where to find him. Follow Selence's advice, talk to the butler and get the key in Spellhold.

In a case like this, there are actually two different creature files used for the same person, if you will. You will never find the key on any other Sir William except for where his butler tells you he is.

Thanks for the advice, Hoppy!

My my...

I spoke to the butler, and he asks me if I met Sir William, and asks me to extend my greetings to him when I do... I suppose I had already talked to the butler before, but don't remember what he said.

I remember, though, that I could find Sir William on the pirate island where you find Spellhood, but never found him there. I finished Spellhood without seeing him, and am in the Underdark now. What should I do, do u think?

OK, he would have been in the bedroom in the courtesan hall. You can use the console to move to the main area again and just zip in and talk to him. That is AR1600 for the main area of Brynnlaw and you can go in the whorehouse and get the key from his... twin? I am interested what NPC needed to kill him to begin with because this has massive conceptual incompatibilities.

Thanks a lot, I went back and he was there! I must have missed him the first time, then?

Well, about William's death, I don't remember which NPC had an encounter with him, but it's one of the main characters. I remember Sir William had business with a ghoul, they were keeping the woman or child of the NPC. Finally, there was a battle, and I killed Sir William and his men (I think the ghoul escaped). I know I could have convinced him to release the wife or child, but I chose the violent solution :-) . SOrry if it's not clear, I play this game on long periods, sometimes with months breaks, according to work and life engagements.

Again, thank you, I can now continue with Selence's missions! Yeah!
