Hey all - been trying to install this thing for hours and hours, and it keeps telling me I have not installed the Bioware 26498 patch. I have done so at least 5 times, with 3 different full installs. BWS finished, it hangs on the patcher. I went to the install and it says no patch. Am I missing something, I wonder? Does the patcher simply take a long time to do anything? Could use some help from the experienced gang.

Create a file named BG2-ToBPatchReadMe.txt in your BG2-folder.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

And you installed the game where, and what Operation System do you have, if that's either Windows Vista or 7, you need to install the game to non Program Files subfolder so the BGII - ToB patcher actually works !Hey all - been trying to install this thing for hours and hours, and it keeps telling me I have not installed the Bioware 26498 patch. That was indeed the issue! Thank you so much! And I do have the game(s) installed to c:\games\BGII - SoA and c:\games\Baldur's Gate respectively, as per the step by step. I'm also running on Windows 7. Already messed it up once, don't want to do it again, so if there's anything else I should know... the only major issue other than that I have is that the widescreen mod doesn't like my resolution. 1920x1080. Comes out as a small black and green square in the upper left of the screen.
