Edit: in addition to Ardulace, the lesser demon lord, Phaere and Solaufein, this will revert the portraits when the party reaches the Underdark exit.

Just some thoughts with the hope to make this very cool mod an outstanding mod
Working and playing on a Mac Pro 6,1 running Mac OS X 10.13.6 High Sierra, and a Mac Pro 3,1 running Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.
~Buion na 'ell! I serve with joy! Your eyes and ears I shall be. Let us hunt together!~
- Erysseril Gwaethorien: a joinable, romanceable NPC mod for BGII - SoA/ToB, in sporadic development.
A female elf warrior of nature and a Bhaalspawn cross paths during their quests, joining forces to share adventure and companionship. Will they find more?

It's not too much work per se, but it's too much work for the value it'd provide, IMO. Besides, background remaining as it is further emphasies the skin/clothing change.If it's too late, or if it's too much work, then never mind, but my feeling is that, since the party is underground while in drow guise, the portrait backgrounds should reflect this, showing the Underdark environment.
See my reply to him, nothing's changed since.I support Miloch's mention of changing hair color, as drow typically have stark white hair, while some have silver hair.
Glad you liked it.

@Daulmakan
Any chance you will add Neera, Rasaad, Dorn and Hexxat drow portraits? It would be great
