I found two bugs

I cant find the gnome mage in the docks. Along with the lich. I went to the Two Areas that there supposed to be and the enemis aren't there.

I also confirm that BP doesnt add ( although it says it does):
1-gnome f/illusionist encounter
2- difficult brown dragon encounter
3- lich in docks
4- harder random encounters ( city and wilderness)
5- improved small teeth and north forest
6- hrothgar the red dragon (?? not sure it should btw)
7- kurosian


basically, improved tactics mod is not added although it says it does
unfortunately, I dont have the game installed now, but it was a tactics BWP 9.5 install ( ? maybe SCII and dingos quest pack has something to do with it , although if I install tactics mod theres no problem)

This is not confirmation, but a rumor. Confirmation needs a WeiDU.log at least. I know BP works, but there might be conflicts with other mods.

I don't dispute that Vall can't find the Gnome, but he dose not say there is a bug or give info on where he is looking (area codes) and with no WeiDU.log posting a copy of his saved game I am not sure he installed the right components in the right order.

The gnome is looking for someone so that someone needs to be in the party, assuming everything is installed and functioning. Dunno about the docks lich if it has a level check or something.

It does in one of the optional components (improved small teeth), but the dragon only spawns depending on difficulty, level of charbase and npcs in party

3- lich in docks
4- harder random encounters ( city and wilderness)

BP not only adds enemies, but also changes their scripts to make them smarter. Perhaps, that's what these sentences (I don't know where they're from) mean, so you should expect more difficult fights with already existing foes rather than new enemies

5- improved small teeth and north forest

I have been working on this component recently: the original mod by kensai ryu for the forest is moved to the Small Teeth Pass (see above); it also includes the spawning of red dragons, amethist dragons,... always depending on difficulty

I know there are problems between different tactics mods (BP, SCS), but I don't really know how this works. Anyway, you can be sure that the BP script system is working by looking at the strings displayed upon your enemies heads, as BP adds many of those. If your enemies remain silent, it could be a sign that BP is not working

silly me , I still have my install ( was on XP and I forgot about it while using windows 7)
@ Chevalier: sorry, I misspoke .
the gnome should be in 2nd floor of Valygars home but hes not.
@ Hoppy: No, you dont need valygar to trigger the encounter
@ Turambar: I remember from my previous runs that brown dragon always spawns after killing Faldorn ,not sure it needs level check , however, it was a BGT run and my characters were one or two levels short of getting their HLAs , so, it should spawn.

the fights were more difficult indeed.

small teeth pass didnt spawn any dragons , it was the old one ( TDD new encounter was there, Azen mod new encounter was there, only tactics part of BP wasnt).

the script was working fine ( enemies shouting I need healing and come to help me ...etc).

I tried to CLUA in the brown dragon and also kurosian but it says creature doesnt exist

p.s : if you want me to do a changelog or anything of the sort please give a link to how to do it ( Im sorry, I suck at these things), but please dont tell the lovely Mr. Jarno and Miloch ( they are a bit touchy about this subject) :D

Heya,

I've got a mega install of my own in now, though a custom list...I don't get much play time, as we're deep in development at the studio, and my game still rests in pre-cloakwood BG1. But I'll give these a gander as well, when I get there. I haven't forgotten about my BG2 days, nor has my boss (you'll find his name in the ToB credits; I'll say more when I can--promise you). Ahh, the good old days... *sighs in remembrance*

I need a short break and a nap, before I get back at it. Maybe we're ready for Cloakwood. Hard to say, with that confounded BP AI giving my party lip. :lol: Especially with that F/M/T triple-class combo, BG Spawns, half the loot and xp...man it's tight these days. You guys mod too well for this old dog! At least we got the BP Series mostly in shape. I can set auto-pilot when I need to (like right now, hehe).

But I'm trying the full SCS-BP compat choice out too in my install, hands near DLTCEP the whole time I play. I think that might be the source of the issue. We'll see.

Take care, game on. I'm 99.95% sure this is a mod incompatibility, not a breakdown of BP itself. Maybe you should attach your BP Debug file as well, that will help in solving it. Maybe an area script baf from one of the ares in question too (matches the area name). My offhand guess is, scripts are crying out in pain, as I type. Maybe we can crack this bug yet, and 'keep the parties rolling'. :)

That's quite strange... if the game tried to spawn a creature that doesn't exist, it should crash... Are you sure you tried to spawn the right dragon? could you attach the area script from the Small teeth pass?

Concerning change-logs, the instructions are in the 'faq for the megamod' post in Mega Mod Help. Be sure you are using the newest version of WeiDU.exe

The Brown Dragon component from BP is different from the one by KR, and although it mostly uses the same resources, some have different names. Try CLUACing bpdrgbrn instead.

Anyway, the game does not crash if you try to CLUAC a non-existing creature, but it does, for instance, if a spell tries to spawn one, and I think that happens with scripts as well.

Concerning the script, I'll have a look at it when I have some time..
