I've just done a complete installation of the standard BWP, and have been playing through it in the past few days. There are a few problems that I've encountered so far.

1. After I kicked Finch out, and tried to talk to her again, she'd "have nothing to say" to me. Thus, I cannot invite her back into the party. She doesn't make any response even if I'm carrying a book that she needs.

2. I followed the guide and added both Cheats=1 and Debug Mode=1 into the baldur.ini file, but when I do ctrl+space in game, nothing comes up.

Does anyone have similar problems? Any possible solutions?

It might be possible that we need a fix to fix the fix or just fix the fix (if the fix is responsible...) :whistling:

Where did you place the lines in the baldur.ini, see it needs to be under...
[Program Options]

Debug Mode=1
And that's that for BWP game as it uses the BGII - ToB engine.

Indeed, we need to fix the fix that was supposed to fix ... or something :D FIX!!!

Anyway, this was the problem and BWP Lollified™-workaround is what you got :P

You need to wait atleast 1 minute (real-time) before she can talk to you again :P Imagine it like this ... she needs some time to ... errrr ... compose herself after you totally kicked her out

If she doesn;t talk to you after 1 minute, that would be a problem (to make sure, try to rest right where she is ... on waking up, she should be happy to see you :D)

When there's trouble brewing, see me post, cuz it's usually a wall o' yellow and your eyes are toast!!!"

Re Lollorian: Unfortunately waiting for 1 minute or resting multiple times doesn't make Finch Talk, she must hate me or something... :(

Re Jarno: Initially I didn't do anything since I used BWP Setup, which supposedly activates cheats automatically. After Ctrl+space failed, I went back to the baldur.ini file, but could not find any errors. Debug Mode=1 is indeed under program options. Here is an exact copy of the ini file in txt format.

Yeah, well, you need to actually start the game before you modify it at all, preferably so that the game auto-saves after the cut-scene with Irenicus !
And something is off with that because the file should be much longer... and you shouldn't install the game to that folder. As the files might not all be read when the game is actually started(because the Windows OS reads the file from the user profile).
