Hello,

First of all, I am new around here so please forgive any possible mistake I make.
Secondly, I attempted a "search" to prevent from a potential redundance with this post of mine, then I was directed to a page with the following message:

"There appears to be an error with the database.

So there again, I apologize if this topic has been discussed already.

Now, here is my main concern and problem:
I seem not to be able to download nor install BGT Weidu.
I tried out with versions 1.10 as well as 1.09, for the same result.

For the following, it may be important to note that:
- I am on a Macbook Pro (OSX 10.6), with a virtual Windows XPsp3 installed via Parallel Desktop 6.
- Download tests have been made through Firefox (Mac) and Explorer (virtual Windows).
- Every single steps of BG1 and BG2 installation (+expansions, +patch) have been performed succesfully.

1 - When trying to download BGT-Weidu110.rar on my Mac, the process correctly runs untill 99%, then I get the following alert message (translated from french):
"Download error
/User/Mycomp/Mydirectory/BGT110-Install.rara.part will not be saved because the file source cannot be read.
Try again later or contact the server administrator."
Same goes for the version 1.09.

2 - 1 - When trying to download the file from the virtual machine (Windows XP sp3), the process correctly runs untill 99%, then I get the following alert (translated from french):
"Internet Explorer cannot dowload BGT110-install.rar from www.shsforums.net.
The connection with the server was reset"
I did not test the version 1.09 here, but I assume the problem would be the same.

3 - After several attempts (6 or 7 in all) on both systems, I mistakenly reported the file as corrupted. A wrong move as I didn't know this would display my message on the main page. Sorry about that.

4 - Then I PMed SConrad to explain the situation and I thought the problem was solved as it seemed that a last download attempt finally went succesfull (I got no error message).

5 - However, once I unpacked the archive, both UnRaRX (mac) and WinRar (windows) reported the same kind of error, after 99% of the unpacking job done:"
! C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\BGT110-Install.rar: CRC failed in BGT\Help\DevDoc\Images\World.jpg. The file is corrupt
! C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\BGT110-Install.rar: Unexpected end of archive"
(For info, the Rar file I have is 14 302 884 octets, 99% completed.)

6 - I nevertheless dared and tried to install BGT anyway, thinking that 99% of the file might possibly do the trick. Another mistake since I got this message just after running the .exe file:
"** ERROR ** [SETUP-BGT.TP2] not found.
ERROR: Unable to find DIALOG.TLK in : dialog.tlk
FATAL ERROR : Failure("Unable to find DIALOG.TLK")"

Thus I decided to come here and ask for help.
What do you think the problem is, and have you got an idea for I can correctly download/install BGT Weidu?

The download site is gone mad, I have been trying to download updates to build a BGT megamod, so far all I've got is over half a Gb of corupt files, it's not my end as SHS is the only site with the problems, everyone else including private site is working fine.

All the files I've tried, have downloaded all but the last .01 mb of the file, and cannot be unpacked due to crc errors.

The problem has to be on your on end, as I have no problems at all with downloading and extracting files.

Same goes on Firefox & Windows 7 / Vista...

Well, I don't know, but you should first go and make sure that the WinRAR you use is up to date, latest version and all that.

Then the Unable to find DIALOG.TLK might be a problem in the OS'es you use, as generally the files in Windows can be in uppercase or not, so the DIALOG.TLK and the dialog.tlk is the same file, but other OS'es can decide that they are not, and so a tool from a WeiDU archive is used to make all the cases relevant.
