Not sure if this is the right place, but can you rename npc's such as Imoen? What is the easiest way to do this?

It depends on what you are trying to do, if you just need the character name to be changed, you open the game files with Near Infinity, and open the cre files, like "imoen.cre", the "imoen10.cre", the "imoen11.cre", the "imoen211.cre", the "imoen213.cre", the "imoen6.cre", and the "imoendrn.cre", and change the "Tooltip" and the "Name" to be the new name. Then you need to start a new game and there you have it.

Now, if you then wish that the NPCs etc. refer to the new name and not the old one, you have to also change all the other lines in the dialog.tlk file that the game has, you go into the "Edit" in the upper part of the editor and select the "Dialog.tlk", and then you search for "string" that is the old name the old name, and replace it with the new one each time and Save each change and search for the next... it's boring... and after you have changed it about 1000 times you can congratulate yourself for the ... most idiotical deed ever.
