Not sure why i'm having this problem, however when I run the BWS, I downloaded almost every mod from the recommended package. But I can't complete the setup, as I am missing ToBHacks_v0.5.1.zip. The setup states that this is an essential mod and without it I cannot continue. I'm not sure if its related, but I also cannot find the new link updates; BWS_Linkupdates-20100331_0.7z.

I've searched the web but cannot find either, so if anyone has a link to a download I would really appreciate it.

It was this... but I don't think the BWS needs it any more. dabus should help you to avoid this...

Even after putting the file in the download folder, the BWS still cannot find it. And the download wont work because it thinks the file is essential.

I think I have the same problem :( Putting the file into the directory manually doesn't help, even if I rename it...

Just set it to not search for updates, and you can continue up to the installation, then remove the old mod folders you want to update and extract the new, and then switch back to the install, when ready, and run it.

Er, I don't really have any problems with updates (the program never asks me about them, BTW), the problem is ToB Hacks. It seems the G3 version isn't the same the BWS requires: it doesn't even have setup.exe inside the archive. Is there a way to bypass the essential flag on this file? Or find the right version?

The setup-*modname*.exe for all the mods is just the renamed WeiDU.exe from the archives here(Windows Binary), as it's the latest. Had you read the first point in the pinned FAQ thread, you would know this...

Now, the BWS shouldn't use the ToB Hacks anymore, as the TobEx is used instead.

I'd suggest to read #15, since the old standard-version is still out there and behaves as described.

THINK! - It's not illegal.

Yep, I've accidentally downloaded the old version. No such problem with the latest one.

I am having trouble with my BW installation. Moved this post over from where it think was the wrong place to put it. Goes as: This is my fourth night trying to install this thing, which has only caused more frustration. Clean install of everything, checked off all the files that it says I don't have, even though in some cases I do have them. But the one that really galls is the These selected mods are missing:

WeiDU (Tool) 229
Finished.

When I look in the debug file it says that Checking WeiDU (Tool) 229
Archive WeiDU-Windows-229.zip is missing. I made sure that I had this file, again, and got the message: Checking WeiDU (Tool) 229
The archive does not have the correct size. What in the heck is wrong with this thing and how do I correct this problem? I could only find one example of WeiDU-Windows-229 on the internet and haven't been able to find anything with the name WeiDU (Tool) 229 anywhere. I know without this file the whole setup is going to crash, so I'm not moving on until I know what the heck the right file is and how I can get this buggy installer to recognize it. Help, someone, before I reach the point where I just have to give up on this thing.

OK, I poked around a little in the files and found that the listed size for WeiDU-Windows-229.zip is not the size of the actual archive. Also, there were some mods I would have liked to use that are now different versions, or the version is the same and the size doesn't agree. What would happen if I changed the names (version numbers) of some of the mods, or changed the size in the file to match the actual size of the archive? Would everything work, or would it just crash and burn?
