Bioware NPC pathing issue

I suspect it might be related to some of the mods I have installed, but I'm not sure.

What's happening is some of the Bioware NPCs (Minsc at first, now Aerie) can't walk to an indicated point when I click properly. They'll move a little bit, then turn towards Charname as if they want to banter, but they don't say anything. Has anyone experienced a similar issue at some point? My game is patched.

This is an issue that only began recently after months of playing the game with the same mods installed, so it's difficult to identify what mod might be related.

I do have SK, so if anyone knows of a value I could adjust to fix this, that would be great.

I've tried several methods of forcing them to talk as well, but it never works.

Before Minsc and Aerie began to behave strangely, we were in areas that were crawling with hostiles. With Minsc, it was the Copper Coronet after the back rooms were discovered. When I went out into the slums, this issue began. For Aerie, I had just finished the Cult of The Eyeless quest and she began to behave strangely once we reentered the temple district.

Anyway, could it be something wrong with the dialogue? QWhat happens if you try to talk to them'
It seems that their script forces them to talk, but then they don't 'know' what to say.

Lol, I literally came to attach my WeiDU log the same minute you posted this. My bad.

I get the standard 'Aerie has nothing to say to you' when I try to initiate dialogue on my own.

Apparently, aerie's and minsc's dialogues could be broken.
I think the involved files are aeriej.dlg and minscj.dlg.
Could you check if you have them, and change-log them?

I have both files, although I'm not sure what you mean by change-log. I know what a change log is, but not how I'm supposed to obtain one for these documents.

it's written in the megamod forum, in the megamod help topic.
It can be used to reduce the question to a couple of mods.

Anyway, I was checking the dialogues, but I don't really know how their dialogues work; which dialogues are associated to Aerie? for example, which one is for her romance? and which is used to make her the new minsc's witch?

Use Infinity Explorer to browse their dialogues.

From that topic, you should also install the LSTest mod to figure out which script block(s) are making them stutter.

Use the latest NearInfinity, open the files with it and "Export..." "script source" somewhere and then open the files(minsc.baf & aerie.baf) with Notepad and copy the whole thing... or at least the sections(from the "IF" before ... to the "END" after them) that say the lines in question.

Well, if you read the "12.1 Technical splash." It already is there... :o
But I'll try to re-word it a bit, and see if I can make it a bit more clear...
Edit: hopefully the new updated version will make a little more sense/has all that's required.
