after the setup and the .bat runs, it seems to stop at the creature offset checker..

these are the final lines ..

i closed the cmd window after about 30 minutes of waiting for the next line, and i ran the setup again, when it reached this part.. the same.. it began to hang

in my directory i noticed that files are there and m#ynymp2.cre is 2kb.. all the files are there, some date from today and some date from yesterday (i have used the setup before but ran it after doubting i had all the mods)

thanks in advance

If you've got a virus scanner or other memory-resident software running, disable it (and disconnect from the internet to be safe) before installing megamods. Repetitive command-line actions tend to make the crappier antivirus programs go ape (though usually they will also cause WeiDU to FAIL which you should see in the command window).

all antivirus disabled....

although i was playing football manager at the time and had it mounted with daemon tools, would that of caused this... ??

and could it be because i was playing a game in fullscreen while it ran. .. ???

I dunno, maybe. I think someone else reported a recent problem with the zeroed offset thing... not sure what it was though. Anyhow, you probably don't want to be doing much on your machine whilst it's installing because it really eats up the CPU and memory.

stuck atthe exact same place...  sigh :/

-- so I removed only BG2+TOB and all of the files in the BG SOA directory except for big world downloads and big world old files and then reinstalled BG SoA and patched with the TOB patch (the one stated) and did the setup again...

will this cause any problems? should i of removed BG1 too??

Why would you remove BG1? You need it for BGT/BWP setup.

Umm... wait... you were playing the game while installing mods? Yeah, that'll definitely cause problems. Don't do that.

Edit: oh, if it's just "playing a game" then like I said, that's not as bad, but probably not a great idea either.
