Was this "mod" released solely to troll the people that use mods?
It sure seems that way. How many people that downloaded this mod had to entirely reinstall BG2 after installing it?
This "mod" shouldn't even be up here or linked to from other websites. It's completely unstable and obviously nobody has any intention of making it any easier.
I'm going to have to reinstall BG2, but I'm not installing the Big Trolling Picture mod. You completely and utterly destroyed my game and this garbage isn't compatible with 80% of every other mod released for BG2.

What the &$^# do you have to say for yourself? Do you even care?
Pull this down or put a big bold line of text under every download link that says the following:
!WARNING! This mod is severely unstable and has an 80% chance to BREAK your game.

Just because you can mod and want to mod doesn't mean you should mod. By that logic I can tinkle and poison your cheerios just because I can but that doesn't mean that I should.

Unfortunately, Big Picture won't get taken down and you probably made it even more enticing by adding controversy and mystery.

It used to break my games sometimes but I am still alive.

That's quite an accusation to make without providing any evidence.

According to the debug file you posted in the Chloe forum (http://www.shsforums...llation-errors/), you never even got as far as installing Big Picture (nor indeed any of the mods that would normally be at the start of an installation. You do understand that you can't just install these things in a random order, I hope.). It seems unfair to blame Big Picture for the failure of things to install before it itself is installed. At least if you dwell in a universe similar to the one I do, in which consequences generally happen after the cause, rather than before.

You'll find most people here are very helpful. That does rather depend on how they're treated though.

BP was probably installed and then uninstalled in this case, which with any uninstalling of BP, TDD, CTB, SOS, TS-BP, Tortured Souls, <phew> and Neverending Journey 4.2b or 691, a clean installation should be made of the game with the patch to avoid any frustrations or just plain nonsense.

It'd help a lot if you elaborated on your problem rather than diss in the forums :D

1) Exactly how did it make your game unstable?
2) Either way, post the file called WeiDU.log over here
3) Did you have a crash?? Post your baldur.err

By that logic I can tinkle and poison your cheerios just because I can but that doesn't mean that I should.

The best explanation I came up with, in regards on why this thread came up to be, is that the original poster(kiteswitch) did stupid things... Among them:
1) Downloaded a manual from a site that isn't publicly supported anymore. The dragonshoard.blackwormlair.net, the america.iegmc.net ... the DB.net makes it's business by having ancient versions of mods that have been updated ages ago.
2) S/He didn't read the whole manual, as that leads to assumptions.
3) Assumed that the mods used in the first version of the Big Picture(not the current BPv1.80... the TDD v1.0.3 being one of them) go well with everything else one could want, which is wrong cause the manual itself says it to be false.
All this I drew from this thread.

Wow, I'm left without words on this one. Can you believe that? All the tens of thousands of thumbs up from around the world, the 1000-member Yahoo club I used to have, the website with over 50000 hits in the one year it ran--was all for a troll mod? Wow, thanks for the revelation. Just don't tell my new boss, he actually pays me money to make games for him. :o
